This is a shortened and edited version of FBI footage showing the joint FBI and Oregon State Police traffic stop and OSP officer-involved shooting of Robert “LaVoy†Finicum on the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge.
You’ll note that Finicum was shot by an Oregon State Police Trooper at relatively close range as he appeared to be reaching into his coat in a manner consistent with attempting to draw a handgun.
Flash bangs were then deployed in an effort to get the other occupants of the vehicle to surrender.

Same here. That’s why I said in my initial post that it was a funnell ambush once he ran. Shooters in the woods, roadblock, snow funnell on each side of road. Would love to hear audio of initial stop.

Dunno. Snow looked awful deep. I think the shooters in the woods were prepared to lay down heavy fire if he somehow managed what you suggest. So it could have been worse.
They were going to a public meeting at the senior center in a town named John Day in Grant County, Oregon. I believe that Grant County Sheriff Glen Palmer was also going to be at the public meeting. Palmer has worked to defuse the situation. Finicum, Bundy, et al were going to meet with him.
Looked like a good shoot to me. Kinda got what he was asking for, didn’t he?
I’m trying to watch it on a little Kindle and frankly the video doesn’t show me anything probative of facts relevant to determination of truth in this matter to me.
All I can clearly see are two riflemen apparently shooting a man without a rifle.
I’ll try and keep an open mind until I can see it on a bigger screen.
But as you say, yeah if there’s a “Zapruder” here, let’s see some clear video and accurate audio, before it is edited as well.
If they discussed their s before, as you know they did,and decided, “We’re going to have to cover our bases here.” then let’s see the exonerating video and audio, unredacted.

He was forced to jerk his wheel to the left to avoid the guy jumping in front of him. Once you turn your wheels at an angle to the snow, it takes the snot out of your momentum.
We need an FOIA request, looks like.

Sure, until he put his hands down/in his pocket. And of course that was after he evaded, and after he tried going around a police roadblock, and after he got an agent with his vehicle. Sorry, but any other circumstances and there would be no one denying this was a proper shooting.
I don’t know My driveway is a 1/4 mile long and once the plowed snow is deep enough to hit the undercarriage you got problems.Even with momentum.
I would say it’s possible that there is audio.
Now get to work on that FOIA, or be patient.

I think it is in the full one. The laser dots on his head seemed to be awfully steady , considering no one was that close to him. As if they were from a fixed position sniper and indicate the sniper was in an elevated position.
