The rumors are swirling... Two Republican candidates reportedly called Donald Trump and said they wanted to attend his veterans fundraiser tonight at Drake University.

There are court cases galore on the citizenship of a person born abroad. There is in fact, "settled law" on this point.
Plus the little Cuban.

Cruz is looking more and more like also-ran Rick Perry. The ex-Texas governor kept bragging he was so popular....the longest-running Texas governor. But it was only when when Perry ran for president that trusting Texans found out he was giving their taxes away to illegals without telling them. Some Texans still do not know Perry was a guest speaker at the blood-thirsty La Raza.....and that Perry established a Muslim Sharia Court in Texas.
Now trusting Texans are learning horrific things about Cruz.

NOW TEXANS LEARN Cruz did not liquidate family assets.....he got his hands on over a million dollars from his hefty margin account at G/S and Citibank......and did not disclose this on FEC reports (to keep it a secret from trusting Texans).
Most people would not have over a million dollars that they could easily liquidate to pursue their crass political ambitions.
No it isn't. See Thomas v. Lynch - 5th Circuit - August 7, 2015 - 14-60297. Thomas was born abroad, at a US Militray base. His father was a US citizen. Thomas is NOT a US Citizen.

Canada has birthright citizenship, just like we do. Anyone born on US soil except a diplomat's child, is automatically at birth a citizen of the US (jus solis)
Cruz was a citizen of Canada at birth. His birth certificate is all that is needed to show Canadian citizenship. In order to obtain US derivative citizenship, Cruz or his mother must take an overt action to claim citizenship. Failing that, Cruz would remain a Canadian citizen.
Cruz renounced his Canadian citizenship and officially ceased to be a Canadian citizen on May 14, 2014.

That’s bull...if anything people were paying to go to this Portsmouth event because lots of cars got towed to the tune of $150 a car. People were scrambling for parking. Do you believe everything you see on the internet? Hold my calls, someone is wrong on the internet!!
Maybe Trump saying to Cruz get the legal part fixed (via court judgment or something like that)is because he would pick him as VP if the issue was already settled in court..........

Cruz is no longer a Canadian. Reminds me of how Obama paid all of his unpaid parking tickets when he ran for POTUS.

So now seeking the presidency is a crass political; ambition? Who knew?
The candidates whose role is to hurt Ted Cruz IMHO.
They never were real contenders, just tools of the elite GOPe insiders to split conservative votes.
Now perhaps their presence would signal a GOPe shift to Trump.
Every ‘outsider’ on that stage should join Trump... and help Republicans learn to stand up to MSM bullies. Welcome them Trump... stand strong together.

Yep, Cruz was covering his butt in 2014 knowing full well he was going to run for President. If he didn’t think it was an issue, then why go to the trouble of formally renouncing your Canadian citizenship?
That was probably the original intent. Now it will not happen.
