Washington (CNN)âKentucky Sen. Rand Paul on Wednesday welcomed Donald Trump's announcement that he was skipping the upcoming Fox News debate, saying the "IQ of the debate went up."
"It's an improvement to the debate. The IQ of the debate went up a couple dozen points, I would say," he told Fox News Wednesday morning.
"He thinks he's already elected himself king. I say, good riddance. We're going to have a much better debate," Paul added.

I am so sorry my senator does not recognize when voters are just done with big government and big media. The idea that these “candidates” are going to accomplish anything at all at the seventh debate is just laughable. Sorry. Not one of them can put together a package to beat Hillary/Sanders to the White House, and in that great vacuum, Trump has appeared. Too bad the party was so focused on picking the candidate JEB! for the voters, because the voters are done with party politics and the machines that live off it.
Okay....we’ve had a good discussion here. Thanks. It’s nice to be able to swap ideas and impressions and not get all heated up. :0)
An old Navy put down applies to Rand. His battleship mouth overruns his minesweeper ass.
Poor sad Donald.
He got his nose bloodied by a girl now he doesn’t want to go to the playground anymore when she’s around.
What a sissy.
Baby Rand
Great complication.
So says the senator with the Shirley Temple hairdo...
...uh...compilation.
Auto correct is in rare form today.
I well give Paul some credit at least he is not a phony or a liar. He is still on my acceptable list. Go Trump!

Reality check. Trump did not quit the debate because of Megyn Kelly. He quit the debate because of the “games” Roger Ailes was playing by issuing a contemptuous press release mocking Trump for putting up a Twitter poll. If you don’t believe me, watch Brett Baier’s interview with Trump from earlier in the day that he dropped out.
So you can drop the “Trump’s afraid of Megyn!” nonsense.
Hardly, he just moved the game out of a crooked casino and deprived them of most of the money.
Bless his heart.
Thanks!
Didn’t Paul boycott the last debate? Sheesh, short memories.
No one is afraid of pitiful Megyn, it’s past time she and her handler are not tolerated. Stick it FOX News !
Exactly. Besides, these debates are getting OLD, few people get their news fro TV and newspapers and the media is apoplectic in their disbelief.
These other candidates show their true colors and act like spoiled brats. It is not favorable to any of them. But they seem unable to control their jealousy and frustration.
Right it is cowardly to NOT challenge the slime tactics of the Junk media and âbraveâ to knuckle under to their demands!
Senator Paul, if elected are YOU going to be in charge or is Fox News going to be dictate TO you then also?
Can you tell me any time in the last year Trump hasn’t called people names?
How about 5 years?
How about 10 years?
How about 20 years?
How about telling me any time in Trump’s life he hasn’t been reduced to acting like a child and calling people names?
There wont be enough viewers for the debate to sell a bottle of diet coke.
