Mississippi's attorney general said Wednesday that he will ask lawmakers to approve the firing squad, electrocution or nitrogen gas as alternate methods of execution in case the state is prevented from giving lethal injections.
States are struggling to obtain execution drugs since European pharmaceutical companies began blocking the use of their products for lethal injections. Executions are on hold in Mississippi because the state's supply of lethal-injection drugs expired. In October, Ohio delayed executions for a year while it searches for the drugs. ...

Nitrogen gas is neat for the purpose. Our lungs evolved to expel high levels of CO2, which is what forces us to breathe at some point. But nitrogen has no such reaction. Those who breath it in feel nothing extraordinary as they suffocate.
I read the account of a Confederate partisan in Missouri who often did not have rope to hang people, or couldn’t afford to spare it in any case. Instead, he used strips of tree bark.

Hypoxia or freezing are not bad ways to go, if you have to be executed.
Don’t know what hypoxia is, but if I walk outside and it’s less than 45 degrees, I start to think it’s the end of days... Freezing sounds right horrible.
WHy not a gizmo like is used to kill cattle. Lock their noggin in a block and fire a single powerful bot through their skull.

Why can’t they just put them to sleep then feed them that stuff they feed suicide fanatics in Europe?
I'm sure they do. The rope is recylable also, use it over and over. The left should love that.
Why not use the same drug vets use on cats and dogs? Quick and effective.
Why not use a massive dose of morphine? Also quick and effective.
Either of these methods would be cheaper than electrocution or asphyxiation by nitrogen gas.
The easiest method would be to get the perp. to kill themselves. Put them in a cell with a rope hanging from the ceiling with a stool underneath and then blast His Arrogance’s SOTU speeches 24 hours a day repeatedly until the perp. commits suicide.
