Donald Trump: I’ve always had good relationships with Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid
The Washington Times ^ | 1/26/2016 | David Sherfinski

Posted on 01/26/2016 8:01:46 AM PST by agrarianlady

"I've always had a good relationship with Nancy Pelosi. I've never had a problem," Mr. Trump said on MSNBC's "Morning Joe." "[Harry] Reid's going to be gone. I always had a decent relationship with Reid, although lately obviously I haven't been dealing with him, so he'll use my name as the ultimate ... of the billionaires in terms of people you don't want."

"But I've always had a great relationship with Harry Reid," Mr. Trump said. "Frankly, if I weren't running for office, I'd be able to deal with [Pelosi], I'd be able to deal with Reid -- I'd be able to deal with anybody."

"But I think I'd be able to get along very well with Nancy Pelosi and just about everybody," he said. "Hey look, I think I'll be able to get along well with Schumer, Chuck Schumer. I was always very good with Schumer. I was close to Schumer in many ways."

So he gets more than twice as much money from the bank that puts branches in Wal-Mart than he does from Goldman Sachs. Big elitist.

I also see that he gets more money from individuals at his old law firm than he does from Goldman Sachs—funny for a guy who is supposedly hated by his colleagues.

I’ve heard him (Trump) say very little about a government of “The People” because he talks incessantly about himself. He talks of his bestselling book, businesses and deal making and rarely failing to throw in an insult at an opponent while at it. That is very unecessary and childish to say the least. I don’t hear teenagers talk like that. To mention Pelosi and Reid as to work with them disqualifies him as a R candidate.

Exactly!

When you are in business, a deal needs to be in your favor or you get out of that business shortly.

For a politician, it doesn’t matter because you get paid by the taxpayers no matter what you do.

“The Art of the Deal” is about winning.

He’s been a Republican for the last 35 years.

Even after seeing facts, you Cruz supporters keep lying.

He's been a Republican for the last 35 years.

No, just in the last 15 years he has been a Democrat, and independent, a Republican, a Reform Party member. I don't know where you get the idea he has been a Republican for 35 years.

He built where Democrats were in charge, so he had to deal with them to get permits and tax breaks.

None of which was anything new - all big builders get those because it ends up benefitting the community and those investing a lit of money will go elsewhere if they are given a better break there. Companies go to states that given them special tax breaks all the time.

Like when Trump was investing in Manhattan in the 70’ and helped to bring the area out of decay.

You’re trying to take a common practice and make it sound like Trump is the only one involved. Very dishonest of you. Or ignorant.

“He’s been a Republican for the last 35 years.”

So has John McCain, so has Lindsay Graham, so have a lot of other Republicans. Doesn’t mean they are “republican”.

Trump is NY liberal. He has called himself a Democrat. To me, he is a Democrat.

“Even after seeing facts, you Cruz supporters keep lying.”

Trump is the one out there lying about Cruz and calling him names. The man has no manners and no self control. It’s ver dangerous to make a person with no self control POTUS.

No it isn’t, but it would seem that as long as everyone steals, cheats and takes and pays kickbacks then its ok.

There is no one I know other than Trump that wouldn’t be getting hammered right now for such behavior. What Trump said was so true he could shoot someone on national TV and it wouldn’t hurt his poll numbers one bit.
