You guessed well on where Billyboy lived too with less to go on, well done. ;d

Rather than escape to warmer or more GOP environs I think I’d most like to live downtown with a view of the lake. Many “vote with your feet” types wouldn’t understand, I complain about local politics and they say “move!”.

Been to NYC twice, before 9/11 when I was a teenager, I have a photo taken in the WTC observation deck, creeps me out to look at it and it’s year 2000 time stamp. I loved looking out of the hotel window in the middle of night and seeing a busy street and how big the city felt.

After living in Chicago for 17 years, I do really know it, though I haven't lived there in a long time. As I said, I still have friends there, so I do visit.

One "bad" thing about living on LSD, when the plane thing that goes on in the summer, one of the bathrooms over looked the lake and the planes fly at about our floor/window level. So it was either use a different bathroom, or close the drapes. LOL

Otherwise, no matter the season, it was always wonderful to look out over the lake and we used to watch the Mackinac sailboat race every year, from the living room or the library windows.

NYC is something else again, but sadly, it isn't what it used to be; but then, what is?

Yes, 9/11 was awful; especially for those who knew/was related to an innocent American who was murdered that dreadful day.
