I was going to write something on why Trump sucks and then I saw this video.

And once I saw it, realized it says everything that needed to be said and all straight from Trump's mouth.

The word is “TRUMPERY” - in other words a bunch of meaningless nonsense.

http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/trumpery

Since he’s a flip flopping whichever way the wind blows, Trump has been on both sides of every issue depending on the audience.

In many cases his syances contradict each other.... Can’t be pro property rights and support emminent domain. You can’t be pro energy and anti drilling...

Another two faced crony capitalist with no core.

All the candidates are afflicted with the issue of change over time, and probably of "flip flopping" in troubling ways.

There is never a clear choice, probably never a good choice, and maybe even only a choice between evils.

"..puppets of their ultra-rich donors."

All the more reason not to elect a windsock candidate who has admitted bribes and "contributions" to obtain political favors and policies that created profit for himself. Term limits and prosecute violations of the law. Anyone trump paid bribes to ....so why was Trump against criminalizing bribing foreign officials?

How about we talk why Cruz is better than Trump instead of bashing Trump. Trump has done a whole lot of good already in shaping this election. He brought immigration into a much higher profile than Cruz could have done alone, and we should be grateful for that.

Why Cruz over Trump if I like Trump? I prefer Cruz’s response to illegals - don’t deport them and then bring them back legally, just deport them. I prefer Cruz’s response to cutting government - don’t make deals to keep some bad stuff in return for getting rid of other bloat, just cut the bloat. However, if Cruz can’t win the primary, I’ll be voting for Trump and praying he governs more like I expect from Cruz. It’s still a pretty good bet as elections go.

I am guessing you are not very rich and therefore do not understand how a large business stays competitive in the fiercely competitive main street economy.

Here is how effective

The point for most of us is to reveal the truth.

Isaiah 30:10
They say to the seers, "See no more visions!" and to the prophets, "Give us no more visions of what is right! Tell us pleasant things, prophesy illusions.

It's worth pointing out that not a single actual vote has been cast yet and that popularity is not equivalent to being right (or wrong). A persuasive argument can be made in favor of Trump's candidacy. That he is up in any opinion polls is not one of them.

For example, I read an article this morning (see: http://www.varight.com/opinion/trump-doesnt-have-to-be-conservative-humble-or-polite-to-fix-america/) a friend posted at her Facebook page that explains his appeal to the writer without boasting about polls, which are nothing but snap shot popularity statistics (as in lies, damned lies, and statistics). No manic mannequin laughter gif or film of carpet bombing opponents into submission is going to persuade any person with a functioning brain to vote for their favorite.

If Trump and his supporters wish to turn his 35-40% of a few hundred to a thousand or so polled supposed Republicans into >50% of the total electorate, or even humble little me, he and they will need to bring more to the table than "Nya, nya, I'm popular and you're not". I think most of us are open to being persuaded but not with schoolyard taunts.

I’ll bet you also voted for odumbo, not once but twice.

Don’t have to be “rich” to understand that Trump’s way of conducting “business” is heavily reliant on government, just like his father. This is not only shady, it is part of the PROBLEM not the solution.

I understand that he employs illegal immigrants while using demagoguery of the issue to attack his opponents, an extremely LIEberal method of campaigning. I understand that he employs people to the left of Obama to formulate strategy.

I understand that playing both sides issues is how his campaign can claim falsely that they support this issue or that, but duplicity does not make for a strong work ethic or value system.

I understand that this can cause the campaign to be nervous about discussing issues in a positive way, so they must resort to diversion and gutter politics.

I also understand the need to downplay your LIEberal background when running as a conservative. Just like Trump trying to portray himself as a God-fearing Christian when he isn’t. That has never worked out well for Republican candidates. The donkey party have no standards and will pull the lever for anything with a “D” next to it. I’m not them nor would I want the only party that can seriously oppose them to become just like them.

Fair enough. I feel as if we are playing Russian roulette. Yeb has six rounds chambered. Failure with him is a given. Rubio has four or five. Not much better.

I see the best chances with Trump as well.

I think Trump is the conservative with the best chance of winning the presidency. You think it’s somebody else.

No other arguments necessary.
