If you thought the Republican establishment was finally getting used to the idea that Donald Trump could become the party's nominee for president, the National Review would like to set the record straight.

That's because the conservative magazine, according to CNN, will release on Friday an edition in which it declares that Trump is a threat to conservatism and that it officially opposes his candidacy. Included in the edition will be 22 conservative voices who have written essays to describe why Trump is a bad idea for the party.

Maybe. But I think the Socialist label is still going to make even liberals think twice. After Trump explains to them exactly what socialism means to their wallets.

I think this is a smart move on their part, if they see that he is inevitably going to be the nominee.

1. If they actually want Trump to win but can't come out and admit it, then this would be a good way to have him distance himself from the "hard-core right" in the general election.

2. If Trump turns out to be a complete disaster, they can look back and say, "I told you so!"

I think they pressured Thomas Sowell and he relented because of his age and his wasn't bad

They rest belong in a School to learn what a conservative really is and they haven't a Popular vote winner except for W, in 2004 and GH because of Reagan.

So what Great Conservative have they backed?

Dole, Mc Cain and the creator of Obamacare, Romney

People did what they asked gave money, time and voted for promises to stop Obama.

Didn't happened where is the Editorial, baby Rich.

Trump is leading a rebellion against the entrenched establishment of both parties. This must be stopped.

The National Review is a “conservative” magazine? Not since Bill Buckley retired and died.

Why would any Trump supporter care?

How much did the Bush people pay National Review? Ladies and gentlemen follow the money. They all just got together really now and felt it was the right thing to do. How much were they paid?

Yeah, rights - and these “leaders” were just so equally outspoken in holding the so-called “conservative” cohorts in Congress accountable when their vote enabled the Ryan abomination that some call a “budget.”

These ass-clowns no longer have credibility - and they’ll get steamrolled too.
