Rest in peace FRiend. Prayers up.
RIP Johnny. You will be missed.
FreeRepublic has lost a great light.
Johnny was an inspiration to many, right through his struggles. The man packed 120 years of living and knowledge into 54, and on his own terms.
His posts, with their homegrown wisdom and life experiences, will be sorely missed around here.
He is now in the presence of his Lord, and all the pain and suffering is now but a dim memory.
Marcella, thank you for the fitting obituary for Johnny.
Johnny, you are in a safe harbor now. Your granddaughters will remember their grandfather’s wisdom, and it will serve them well in life.
We will remember you too, Johnny-very, very fondly.
Thank you Marcella. I was wondering how he was doing just last week.
Rest in peace Johnny.
Rest in God’s merciful peace, Johnny.
See you in the clouds, Johnny ...
Thank you for a beautiful and fascinating eulogy, Marcella. I knew just from his posts that Johnny was one of a kind, but never knew of his service to our country. I do know from all his posts that he put his incisive mind to any task or issue, so I’m sure Heaven will soon be put ship-shape now that Johnny’s there. (Perhaps he can improve their communication equipment.)
God bless you and keep you close to Him, Johnny. RIP.
Miss you, FRiend.
Goodbye FRiend. You were a kind and clear voice here, and we may not see your kind again.
Rest in peace JRandomFreeper.
My condolences to his family and many many FRiends.
He is with the good Lord now, and whole in spirit and body. Too young, but “Ours is not to reason why—— “.
He made his mark here and we are thankful for it.
Thank you for letting all of us know, Marcella.
As you know, we private messaged each other for the last few months comparing our chemo treatments, side effects, diet, cooking, cleaning woes, etc. He loved to cook but his biggest gripe was washing pans. We joked quite a bit about how cooking was about all we could manage but those DAMN PANS afterwards!
His wry humor always made me chuckle especially when he made fun of himself. I knew he was suffering but he kept up a good show.
I will miss him and remember him forever. He was one of a kind. A true patriot and memorable character.
RIP, Friend. Till we meet again.
A beautiful tribute, m’Lady.
Prayers for Johnny and all our fellow Freepers. May God Bless us all.
So very sad.
God bless Johnny and all of his loved ones.
I hope and pray his sisters, brother, daughters, grandkids and friends here and offline, have peace. Thank you Marcella for the lovely post about him. R.I.P, RandomFreeper.
RIP Johnny. We will FReep together again some day.

So sorry to hear this sad news.
