If Sen. Cruz remains a fan, so do I. A LOT of good people are backing Trump, a LOT of good people are backing Cruz (my choice). ALL of us are going to be needed to stop the lefties. To the degree we must have enmity, it ends with the nomination of Cruz or Trump as far as I am concerned. And that goes for Schlafley, Palin, and all the others who have come to a different conclusion than we did.

I would suggest that people look at the posting histories of the present Trump people and see how much they praised Ted Cruz back then.

It is a real eye-opener. Maybe they forgot.

Finny, where did you see me post on FR that I prefer any other announced candidate over Ted Cruz? You haven't because you couldn't; it doesn't exist. And yet, a quick check of my posting history reveals posts that I have stated clearly and repeatedly that Ted Cruz is the ONLY candidate I've supported financially.

What exactly are you talking about, Finny? And do you care to apologize to me for your mistake in rash judgment?

And yes, I've always been aware that I'm usually found in the minority on FR, but not for the reason you have wrongly surmised this time.

I’m a “Cruzer” and I still like Palin. Congrats to DT for winning her nomination and I’m sure she has her reasons for breaking her pattern.

I will only say that *four* exclamations might be a bit over the top. I think, perhaps, you could justify two at most.

I recall Palin made a joke around then like :
“Its RINO hunting season” referring to the upcoming congressional GOP 2014 primaries.

Then the GOPe won most of those primaries.
She didn’t bag many RINOs.

The fact is the the shutdown benefitted the GOP. Republicans took control of the Senate and increased their majority in the House.

Which may be why the GOPe was so determined to avoid another one.
