Maybe Donald Trump’s not as anti-establishment as some people think. It seems GOP Sen. Orrin Hatch — one of the most “establishment” senators out there — thinks Trump could be the ticket to a GOP victory in November:

So Hatch bashes Cruz and praises Trump. Remind me, who does the Establishment hate more?

Well Trump has the GOPe in his pocket. Wonder how much that cost him.

Utah is one of two states where Cruz is ahead. The bell tolls.

“Hatch is a DC whore.”

Hatch has been there so long he’s the GOPe’s Senate Madame!

Didn't cost him a thing. These guys are out to save their own hides.

It doesn't take a wizard to look at the size of those rallies, and think they'd like to stand on that stage with him in their district.

Coates, Barr and others are coming out against Cruz the real establishment threat they realize who praising Trump and stroking his ego it will be business as usual. Obama has taught them how to prosper under a narcissist.

Could it be crowds and Trump’s strong polling in early states? No Trump paid them off to give it to Hillary

Trump.

I honestly think they think they can work with Ted.

He isn’t like Congress, but at least they see him as being able to deal with Congress in a traditional, all be it more Conservative fashion.

With Trump, all bets are off.

Folks aren’t flocking to a Republican, when it’s Trump.

They’re flocking away from both parties.

Trump IS a new party all by himself.

The GOPe has been conquered.

They know it.

Exactly, with Trump’s new attacks on Cruz that none of the GOP(e) likes him just tells me that Trump, the deal maker, is going to deal with the very GOP we dislike. It will be the 2000 all over again, a GOP pres and GOP congress that increases the debt, uncontrolled spending and cronyism. The SOTUS picks will be a disaster.

HAHAHAHA
The new establishment hero donnie boy! Lololol.
He will make good deals you know — for himself? Is he expecting the same pay outs as he used to pay? Odds are.

I think it is clear whom the GOPe is now swallowing hard and deciding where they will turn.

It is easy to understand why. Cruz has shown them that he is willing to fight them tooth and nail and put a stop to their go along to get along attitude.

They KNOW this is the case.

They THINK they might be able to work deals with Trump, so in their desperation, they are seeing that their boys continue to drop in the polls and they are more willing to chance trump than to in any way support Cruz.

My own weekly average poll for the GOP Presidential primary election shows the following:

(Note: Two of these polls were conducted over a time frame that included Palin's announcement. We will not really know until next week if there is any impact on the trends. Right now, the trends are pretty set.)

Continues to pretty much speak for itself.

Dana Perino, just now on The Five, was positively giddy that Hatch and Dole were bashing Cruz and supporting Trump.
