Ted Cruz: the tea party candidate
The Washington Times ^ | January 20, 2016 | Judson Phillips

Posted on 01/20/2016 11:10:19 PM PST by 2ndDivisionVet

Since 2009, the tea party has changed politics. In 2009, millions of people took to the streets to protest the irresponsible fiscal policies of the Obama Regime. In 2010, the tea party movement swept the Republicans into control in the House of Representatives. The tea party movement came close to winning the Senate for the Republican Party.

While tea party favorite Sharon Angle was running for the Senate seat held by Harry Reid in 2010, Donald Trump was busy contributing to Harry Reid.

And that is the problem with Donald Trump.

Today in 2016, he is appealing to the tea party to support him. Much of his support is as understandable as the origins of the tea party in 2009. Seven years ago, the Democrats were busy pushing the Obama agenda. Meanwhile, the Republicans weren't doing much of anything.

Conservative voters had become more and more outraged in the second Bush term as Republicans abandoned all pretense of being the party of smaller government and fiscal sanity. Because no one was listening to real Americans, the tea party was born....

And as far as I'm concerned Republicans still aren't.

..... In some of the most important cases the Supreme Court decided in the last few years, many of our rights were saved by one single “unelected lawyer.”

What happens if we lose one of the conservative justices and President Donald Trump decides he wants to appoint his “friend” Hillary Clinton to the Supreme Court?

There you go. Someone in the media is finally asking my question. SC is right on the edge of taking away our gun rights and completing the progressive agenda and the trust DT who trashed Scalia? Insanity.

..... Conservatives have to win the White House this year. Conservatives have to put someone in the White House who will put conservative justices on the Supreme Court as well as the rest of the federal judiciary.

There is only one man conservatives can trust. That is Ted Cruz.

What happens if Cruz really is ineligible a smany people have stated and he is succesfully sued? It is a more likely scenarion in my opinion. Trump isn’t going after the guns. I am confident of that. The man is a rabid nationalist.

"Tea Party," as a defined group, is a tool used by the Left to demonize their opposition as extremists/racists, and by various and sundry groups all over the political spectrum to their own political advantage.

"Tea Party" is meaningless now.

In many operations there is a prow or a bulldozer to cut through all the crap. There has to be someone in control afterwards and my money is on Cruz. Trump has said that if he isn’t president, that’s it. He’s out. Third party yes, no,.. pissed already. He is such a useful man to important post yet so vain as to say that.

The ethanol disaster is something Trump wants to expand. This is killing engines so far that it is Nancy Pelosi thinking. If the engine is shot you have to take a loan to buy a newer tractor or automobile and that stimulates the economy. If you default, it stimulates it further and if you lose everything and end up in various depts. of welfare it really stimulates the economy. Insane.

Well considering the current SC, they won’t rule he’s not eligible. Mostly likely by not taking the case. If they do, it will not based on the law one way or the other but instead based on the status quo meaning they don’t want to go there. They’ve already stepped into one election and taken a lot of flak, I don’t think they’ll willingly do it again especially on some so esoteric as the meaning of “natural born”.

But obviously that’s just my own opinion...

not only trust him, but fawn over him.

people from the heartland are voting for a guy from my city, a city that they detest because of its values.

but they think they found the exception.

that everything he said in the past is meaningless.

that he will guard the 2nd amendment, defund PP, and fight the gay agenda.

maybe, i dont know.

i have one guy who put down NYC and another who put down my Paesono Scalia.

Close to decision making time.

This goes over in States with subsidies and not mentioned in others. I’m getting fed up with too much too early.

“Put down NYC”? Are you serious? Cruz was thinking that You knew what he meant. The slipping NY values, hey get a clue. Then when Trump started talking about the NYFD and stuff, Cruz was nodding in agreement about that, BECAUSE IT WAS A DIFFERENT SUBJECT.

It is really too bad that we have a man, a serious man AND he doesn’t talk down to us. He knows how we think and those worthy of his support or his of them, Know what he means. Is English languish so hard to comprehend?
This regular guy has thrust himself into this tangled morass to help US. Every step has been investigated along the way. He is distained by media and entrenched politicos. He takes out personal loans to fund and that is under investigation. Every single thing they can find on him, the media thinks more important than a nuclear missile aimed at us. Over and over.

I don’t trust Ted, nor do I want a Canadian. Where is his CRBA? Where is his passport? Where is the judgement that he is a NBC? I would not have considered Obama a natural born citizen if he was born in Kenya and I don’t see any difference with Ted’s birth.

Obama came up with his phony birth certificate for some reason. I don’t want the same thing repeated with Ted. He should put everything he has out in the public view now.
Ted claimed he didn’t know he was a Canadian citizen until 15 months ago. I do not believe that. He has been to Canada and has a passport.

I also don’t support him because of his vote for TPA, the Corker bill, would means test Social Security, etc.
I don’t believe anyone would “forget” millions of dollars in loans or “forget” that he was a director in a Jamaican holding company.

Trump was there for big government liberals when they needed him. He will turn on us again. Supporting him is a fatuous, Faust in pact.
