I think it was her trans-Alaska pipeline deal that got her into the energy business. But she wasn’t involved in the business. She was involved in the government supporting the construction. And she did well. This is certainly in support of her.
But, I think it’s time we had a wildcatter in the energy secretary position. Sort of like having a businessman in the presidential chair.
It suggests Sarah would be great to have in charge of the FCC.
I’m not sure but I thought hubby actually was part owner of an oil company.
The “Palin for Energy Secretary” ship has sailed. Since she last mattered, fracking has completely replaced Alaska as the focus of the energy debate in this country. The next Republican administration needs a strong proponent from a state with a history in the practice. This is not a place for symbolic gestures at this time.
Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Fred Upton fits the bill. My money’s on him.
