The only politician I hear saying Hillary should be in jail is TRUMP!. The conservatives in the GOP are silent as they allow the debt to climb. I don't care if he attacks Cruz's questionable actions either.
No, it indicates that a large number rank and file Conservatives have discovered the fact that we are the “blacks” on the GOP plantation.
For decades we have shook our heads wondering why blacks line up to vote for the Dims decade after decade despite the utter destruction the Dims have brought to their community.
Trump has made many of them realize Conservatives are the Blacks of the GOP plantation. We line up year after year, sacrifice our time and money, and what do we get? A GOP political machine this is virtually identical to the Dims who comes around every 2 years saying “If you just give us this, everything will be awesome.”
Ask yourself this. Despite giving the entire Government to the GOP under Bush, was any item on the Conservative agenda advanced?
Sadly the answer is NO. And what many of us are realizing is the tools of the Conservative establishment i.e. Townhall, Heritage Foundation, Club for Growth, NRO, etc are the tools the GOPE is using to keep us on the plantation.
I doubt most Trumpkin Tea Partiers have ditched their principles to support Trump. But the fact remains Trump has sneered at many Tea Party principles. So why do so many Tea Partiers support Trump knowing his past? (or not knowing his past.)
I think the immigration issue on which Trump has been the strongest voice (and he is right about the issue) has literally "trumped" all other issues to the TPers who support him. They literally can't see any other issue at this time.
Again, that does not mean they've given up their conservative principles. But they might not like what happens if Trump gets elected. However, they were warned.

Heard the same thing about Bush. HAD to vote for him because we HAD to have the SC. How did that work out for Conservatives? See anything "Conservative" in the judgements coming out of the Robert's court?
1) Purist conservatives stand in moral judgment of realist conservatives
2) Purist conservatives withhold their vote or threaten to do so if a realist or center-right candidate is nominated
3) Purist conservatives deny reality and refuse to team with realists who are willing to make incremental progress rather than lose entirely
3) Purist conservatives engage in monkey-screeching disdain and mocking of any candidate or their supporters who attempt to innovate, break the mold, come from a different angle towards the same ultimate goal, or speak a different lingo than themselves
4) Purist conservative's underlying political impulse is theocratic fascism; yet they accuse other political factions of fascism
5) Purist conservatives are every bit as humorless and narcissistic as purist progressives
6) Purist conservatives, if they can't win because their sour judgmental elitism has turned the majority off, don't want anyone else to win, either. Then they blame the realists for the punishments dished out by the progressives that the Purists helped elect, even though the realists actually want to win, but can't get the Purists to accept objective reality long enough to soil themselves by voting for an imperfect human being with realistic conservative goals.

I’ve spoken to my conservative friends and it boils down to the following reasons:
1) He has the resources to BEAT Hillary ( as if Hillary is really going to be the Democrat nominee ).
2) He has the best name recognition.
3) Despite his past stances and flip-flops, THIS TIME HE MEANS IT.
He's good at one thing. Self-promotion.
That’s an amusing explanation. Why amusing? Because you can use every point to argue that Rubio is the best choice.
Process:
Purists: Rubio is pro-amnesty!
Realists: Yes but on every other issue he votes with us and he says he will enforce current laws.
Purists: But he voted for amnesty on Gang of 8!
Realists: He beats Clinton and Sanders in head to heads, has a strong Latino following, and can deliver Florida. He has all the demographic boxes checked.
Purists: But he BETRAYED us on amnesty.
Realists: Pure conservatives can’t win elections. Stop being a one issue voter. This election is about taking our country back and to do that we have to WIN.
Link to your claims please.
He went far astray from judicial responsibility,IMO.
Palin never owned the tea party. I know this because I am the tea party.
LOL.....just read the New York Times...
Or any of them for that matter...because it appears he is now endorsed by Bob Dole. No better deal maker was ever in government then ole Bob...
He knows them when he sees them...
But in his pro-life book The Party of Death, National Review senior editor Ramesh Ponnuru recounts that Barry has ruled against the constitutionality of banning partial-birth abortion. Barry wrote that one such law in New Jersey was "based on semantic machinations, irrational line drawing, and an obvious attempt to inflame public opinion instead of logic or medical evidence."
If it were the only formula that mattered, perhaps. But it's not.
Because it draws MSM attention to Conservative values when every broadcast outlet and newspaper focuses on the event.
ALL publicity is GOOD... some is just better than others.
Explain your statement and how that POV works?...Palin Endorsement of Trump Signals Tea Party's Whimpering End
RE: Explain your statement and how that POV works?
The article that I posted argues this.
So.. you agree totally with the article?
You have NO POV of your own?
RE: You have NO POV of your own?
1) I can agree with certain points of an article and disagree with others.
2) If I whole heartedly agree with the article, then they articulate my point of view.
Let’s take this statement from the article:
The Tea Party used to be about “fiscal responsibility, constitutionally limited government, and free markets.” Now, the movement’s top media darling has enthusiastically endorsed a man who built his wealth on eminent domain and seeks to “make America great again” by restricting trade. Trump is a crony capitalist of the kind tea partiers once lamented in the wake of TARP and the big corporate bailouts.
I AGREE with the issue of eminent domain ( Trump supports it ), I am not certain though if Trump wants to restrict trade. He did say he was for FAIR TRADE, which is a concept that he hasn’t defined in detail.
As for the bailouts, Trump was all over the place.
At times, he said it would be better if it passed, then he would later add that he has some doubts as to its effectiveness.
So, in effect Palin shifted from being a solid Tea Partier to a supporter of a waffler.
