Ted Cruz: “what happened in Mississippi was appalling”… Really ? Really Ted ?
Conservative Tree House ^ | July 8, 2015 | Sundance

Posted on 01/20/2016 4:48:10 AM PST by true believer forever

Senator Ted Cruz seems to express disgust and outrage against the tactics deployed by what he calls the “DC Machine”. Cruz states that their conduct in the Mississippi runoff was "incredibly disappointing" etc.

However, we now know - from specific documentation provided by internal research into the activity around the Mississippi campaign - that the National Republican Senatorial Campaign, the NRSC, was the financier for the attack ads against Chris McDaniel.

So who is the "DC Machine", this "leadership of the NRSC", that Senator Ted Cruz is so incredibly disappointed in?

Whoopsie - Yes it would appear that Ted Cruz is incredibly disappointed in ?

Nuf said.

A filing with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) shows that the NRSC paid National Media Research, Planning & Placement of Alexandria, Virginia $13,000 for media production and $69,000 for the attack ads.

I'd believe you, but your explanation doesn't account for the facts of McConnell’s bitter hatred for Ted and the very bitter public fight they have had. It has a chair and 3 vice-chairs, which means of course that a vice chair controls nothing.

"In short, he sold his soul to McConnell Inc."

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Just after the Texan election in November 2012, GOP leader Mitch McConnell, now the Senate majority leader asked Cruz to serve as NRSC vice chairman in charge of grassroots outreach. In effect, he sought to bring the tea partier into the tent by making him the liaison to tea partiers.

But it quickly became obvious that Cruz wasn't so much of a team player.

He sought to recruit and promote like-minded conservatives ahead of the 2014 GOP primaries. He worked with outside groups that sometimes backed candidates other than those picked and approved by the NRSC in particular, the Senate Conservatives Fund, which backed challengers to a number of incumbent Republicans, even including McConnell.

http://trailblazersblog.dallasnews.com/2015/01/ted-cruz-and-gop-senate-campaign-arm-part-ways.html/

"A conservative outside group whose efforts Sen. Ted Cruz backed has called for defunding the National Republican Senatorial Committee.

Cruz, an NRSC vice chairman and Texas Republican, has not rebuked the effort.

This weekend, Senate Conservatives Fund launched a campaign calling on conservatives to pledge not to give any money to the NRSC in the aftermath of last week's runoff in the Mississippi Senate race. As is typical, the NRSC backed Republican Sen. Thad Cochran, while the SCF and other outside groups backed his failed challenger, state Sen. Chris McDaniel...

...Last October, the tension between Cruz's role at the NRSC and his backing of the SCF campaigns was apparent when the SCF endorsed Matt Bevin in the Kentucky Republican primary against Minority Leader Mitch McConnell."

http://atr.rollcall.com/ted-cruz-doesnt-disavow-scfs-call-to-defund-nrsc/

Let's see: Ted Cruz is evil because he had a turbulent stint on the NRSC, but Trump is going to save us after praising Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.

Y'all are barking mad!

Listen, you don't have to talk to me that way or make fun of me with your long lines of laffing.

When I engage someone I do it straight. I even took the time to correct your squiggles - there were lots of them - so everyone could read the points you were making.

This is what you don't get - and I don't know why your blind to it.

Look what Cruz did with MS. He had to have known what the NRSC was doing and yet he never stood ahead and called them out. And yes, you're right about the NRSC and CSF, but he wasn't booted off, he left at the end of his 2-yr term and wasn't asked back by the new chairman.

He did all that stuff that Mitch asked him to do including going on Hannity and saying he wouldn't endorse anyone running against an incumbent. Paul was there, too.

So, while he was placating Mitch, he was trying to work with the Conservative committe. He didn't choose. He may have been the one behind getting the CSF to defund the NRSC. I don't know. But he didn't come out and take the provocative stand. He wouldn't deny or confirm they were doing it.

He is always in the middle until one side or the other becomes totally untenable. And he does that all the time. And finally, after all this, all the machinations, the behind the scenes stuff, trying to serve both masters, what did he do in Sept 2015? Why he gave to 250K to the NRSC.

"The moves come as Cruz, a potential 2016 presidential candidate, has been trying to broaden his reach and goodwill with establishment figures, while also demonstrating that he has a grassroots base that he can energize behind other candidates."

This is what he does. He straddles the fence, tries to keep all his options open, curry favor with both sides. That to me is untrustworthy and unethical. Cruz serves Cruz.

YOUR tagline: (Trump: We will have to leave borders behind a go for global unity)

About your tag line...it is a distortion of the quote and taken out of context as you seek to lie and say it’s about immigration and ‘borders’.

Dems pulled that line out of this article which he pretends that Trump is talking about immigration...it is NOT!
http://edition.cnn.com/2013/01/22/business/opinion-donald-trump-europe/";

The entire article is about INVESTING, it mentions NOTHING about immigration! The question is do YOU think we should be able to INVEST outside our borders??

DemshateGod spreads this FALSE WITNESS line with every post, every day. He knows it’s a lie, but that does not deter him.

I would be more inclined to look into the voters and local party political machine that continuously reelects the bozo then throw bricks at a “Texas” as well as a “Kentucky” Senator for failing to save another state from their own stupidity.

He won all his other elections by 60 per cent or more. Maybe McDaniel was his first Tea Party opponent or maybe McDaniel was the first one with guts enough to take on the Mississippi which I hear is formidable.

Ted Cruz signed on w/ Norquist.
Do you have a link to that?

Norquist touts this as a ‘taxpayer pledge’, but the fact is it is an oath that if you want Norquist’s help, you better tow the line or he will destroy you, as he has many real conservatives.

Actually, it reflects perfectly what he’s talking about. Stop listening to Trump’s incoherent speeches, read anything by Frederick von Hayek, then get back to me.

" which I hear is formidable." Yes, it's a neighboring State to me, and I travel through it a lot, listening to local political radio stations.. Very well entrenched. The voters generally vote their pocket issues. A politician with tenure is much preferred over one who is not.

In Louisiana, the saying is "better the devil you know, then the one you don't know." Mississippi is exactly the same, in terms of congress critters, governors....The only time they change is for term limited politicians..

The NRSC, along with its house counterpart the NRCC, is corrupt. There is no other way to put it. I'm still waiting for Ted to condemn their current scam of stealing campaign money from Trump supporters, as he takes hundreds of thousands of dollars from them.

Here's how it works. You see a NRSC prez poll on Facebook and vote for Trump and get on their mail list. Soon you are swamped with email selling Trump gear, stickers, tshirts, you name it. NOT ONE CENT ever goes to the Trump Campaign. This is where it goes:

From open secrets, donations to Cruz: 2. Senate Conservatives Fund $315,991

Here is the FB poll: https://yourvoice.nrsc.org/landing/presidential-poll/?utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook.com&utm_campaign=20160104_nrsc-lb-votetrumprubiocruz_facebook&utm_content=nrsc&utm_term=83920800

This is the National Republican Senatorial Committee and they are CONNING you to hurt the Trump campaign!

They have been doing this for months and it's cost the Trup campaign likely millions. http://towncriernews.blogspot.com/2015/09/more-gop-fundraising-on-trump-name-now.html

This is amazing. I have already sent it to my list. Thanks so much. Just when you think you can't think any lower of the gop, they take you down another 100 feet. Thanks.

by that logic, if someone forgives someone who committed a crime against them that means there's been no crime, no trial, no punishment. Maybe McDaniel is a humble christian, likes Cruz' policies, and found it in his heart to forgive him. That doesn't diminish what Cruz did, it elevates McDaniel in my mind.

Meanwhile in the fall 2013, while Tea Party favorite Cuccinelli was in a close race with McAullife in Virginia, the GOPe pulls campaign funds from him and Donald J. Trump donates 25K to Clinton sycophant McAullife. Cuccinelli winds up losing by two points.

So, you're saying Trumps 25k cost him the election? You know, trump was in ny, maybe knew mcauliffe, or someone who knew him asked Trump for a donation. Do you really think Trump living his life in NY was really up on that election? Weak.

My Cruz bumper stickers come from the Cruz campaign, why would anyone send any money to the NRSC for any candidates campaign material. I have doubts that the Senator will ever see any of that money, it will probably show up in Senator Wicker’s primary campaign in 2018? Nothing said here like the other attacks on Senator Cruz makes Donald Trump anymore palatable, I do not vote for democrats or liberals whatever Trump is, it’s not Conservative and He’s given me no reason to believe that he knows understands, or desires to follow our Constitution.

Some here claim Cruz has character and is a true conservative. Not when he facilitated this attack, without offering a single word of objection, a good man to be smeared as a racist. And Cruz stood by, watching the Mississippi GOP use time-tested DEMOCRAT garbage to do it.

Cruz is a self-centered, ambitious phony and a hack.

He has no character and is no conservative like I’ve ever known.

It will be interesting to listen to numbnuts Levin spin this one.
