I just finished watching Sarah Palin's endorsement of Donald Trump and I have some observations.
Sarah Palin is a rhetorical genius. Like her or not, she's really good at political rhetoric.
And, I hope Trump is PAYING her, she's worth $5mil a month during the primaries so hopefully he'll be paying her at least $3mil/month.
This endorsement matters. She bring more "blue collar" credibility and conservative "good enough" to put all other GOP challengers back on their heels looking for life support.
This endorsement likely is the death knell for the Cruz campaign. I think it now means Trump will win Iowa, something I was sure he had locked up. I even contended aggressively with fellow Freepers on this matter. I considered it an illusion that anyone besides Cruz could win Iowa, but now I believe it will be Trump.
And Sarah Palin will be the reason.
Without Iowa, Cruz has no campaign.
Flame away, but do as well as you can to keep it civil.
I take it you are a Cruz supporter?
>> I’m asking you to stop disparaging Cruz supporters.
Thank you.
The post was fine — and accurate — except for the three words “and his cult”.
Whether Cruz or Trump, the country (and FR) will be better off if we conservatives keep the knives in their sheath until it’s time to eviscerate the ‘rat candidate.
I can’t stand to listen to that shrill voice of hers.
I agree, everything she said was right on target but her delivery was awful. I don’t remember her being a bad speaker before, maybe she was nervous with this one.
Cruz had a bad day today.
It is not an attack, but a fact.
Maybe Cruz will have a better day tomorrow.
But today belonged to Trump.
>> He needs to control his outbursts
It would also be helpful if he didn’t vocally and unequivocally support liberal causes like the EPA and the ethanol mandate.
Wait... You’re calling Cruz’s voters a cult...Jeesh some people are flat out delusional
I would rather see her over the EPA
To dismantle it
I don’t care if Reagan came back and endorsed him. He failed the first test he faced when he pandered for votes by supporting Ethanol subsidies. This is the crap we as conservatives can’t support. That and eminent domain disqualify Trump from my support.
I don't know about Energy. Trump should get rid of that stupid department. Besides, its Secretary is not a Cabinet-level position. I think Palin would be better suited for Interior.
She certainly challenged Iowa, didn’t she? It’s as if she was saying that if you don’t vote for Trump, it means you don’t want freedom and control of your state/lives etc.
I got a bit annoyed with her, but then female voices that are screechy or high pitched tend to do that to me. But aside from that, I really felt like she was down talking to Joe six-pack. Maybe she just doesn’t know the comprehension level of the entire audience and wants to make sure that everybody clearly understands what she’s implying. I don’t generally get annoyed with her speeches, but this one bothered me for some reason.
Aside from that, I also felt a bit ominous regarding the financial condition of the nation. It’s one thing to hear the political terms ‘budget deficit’ but hearing that the US is BROKE...it was the terms she used that gave me that uh-oh feeling. I’d have to re-listen to be more accurate about the terms SHE used.
Methinks THIS is why we need Trump. We are in deeper sneakers than TPTB is letting on.
You know, I just bought a loaf of bread...FRESH, not day old, for 50 cents? It was fresh baked italian bread. And then, I glanced at an article talking about the middle east, china, and depression...practically in the same sentence. Ten dollar per barrel oil?
Three weeks ago a dozen eggs sold locally for $3.00 and yesterday I paid 1.39 a dozen..
Well, something’s in the air and for ME to say that, I’m not generally one who sees the sky falling with every dot.
I’m glad that Trump is capable of seeing outside the box. If he’s elected, he’s going to need that skill because I do think ozero has delivered on his promise, to FUNDAMENTALLY change America. Fundamentally? That word slapped my upside the head the first time I heard it come out of that ...that...person’s mouth, and it still makes my hair stand on end. The impact of that change is still on it’s way.
Trump will be getting one hellofa education in office, and he’s going to need all the skills he’s developed in life to pull us through.
12-24 hours to write it and prepare.
Blue collar Dems have bailed? Are you kidding?
I heard a call on Hannity’s radio show, on the way home, this afternoon.
He was a truck driver, pulled over on the icy roads of the NE, due to a blowout. While he was waiting for the assistance truck, he called in to Hannity’s show to tout Trump.
He said, “Trump speaks for the regular guy, like me....the hard working guy/gals out here.” Hannity tried to talk about his days as a construction worker, blah, blah...but this guy was impassioned and spoke clearly and enthusiastically about how Trump has inspired him....and many of the unemployed, up in the NE, to be engaged in the election/country, again.
He said, “And, even my mom likes Trump!”
It was a great and heartwarming call. This is the type voter who will push Trump over the top.
Trump didn’t pay her for it. That was a speech from the heart.

Sarah Palin has morphed into a complete phony, just like Ann Coulter...or Donald Trump. I will never ever trust her or support her again.
She just endorsed the ultimate (and self-admitted) corporate crony, who admits he sang the praises and lined the pockets of some of the most vile politicians in America in order to build his corporate crony empire. He is also a hard leftist on most social issues, for single payer health care, for just about every subsidy imaginable, and a globalist to boot. Hold your heads in shame, you so-called Trump “conservatives”. You have allowed yourselves to be duped because you are too chicken to stand up for your principles and vote for Ted Cruz. Donald Trump suddenly hums a vaguely conservative sounding a tune, even though he has spent his entire life dancing to the tune of the other side, and you guys fall into line like he’s the Music Man.
Then please vote the down ticket races.
why would tea partiers find this pick a sell out?
