I just finished watching Sarah Palin's endorsement of Donald Trump and I have some observations.
Sarah Palin is a rhetorical genius. Like her or not, she's really good at political rhetoric.
And, I hope Trump is PAYING her, she's worth $5mil a month during the primaries so hopefully he'll be paying her at least $3mil/month.
This endorsement matters. She bring more "blue collar" credibility and conservative "good enough" to put all other GOP challengers back on their heels looking for life support.
This endorsement likely is the death knell for the Cruz campaign. I think it now means Trump will win Iowa, something I was sure he had locked up. I even contended aggressively with fellow Freepers on this matter. I considered it an illusion that anyone besides Cruz could win Iowa, but now I believe it will be Trump.
And Sarah Palin will be the reason.
Without Iowa, Cruz has no campaign.
Flame away, but do as well as you can to keep it civil.
I thought she was a little nervous at first, then she did great.
I understand what you are trying to do. The problem is that when each side attacks the other’s candidate, people take it as personal. Crazy? Maybe, but true.
I can only wish you heartfelt good luck. LOL
Post of the day.
Trump/Palin a win win
What are you talking about? Wha ...?
I am among a number of people who are turning down Palin's endorsement of Trump.
You are among a group who are gobbling it up.
It would be the same (but reversed) if Palin had instead endorsed Cruz. You ask: "Would Cruz have turned down here endorsement?" Huh?
Palin endorsed a guy who has left a trail like a chocolate-dipped caterpillar of a political left-leaning and influence-buying past going back more than 25 years.
In that SAME 25 years, Ted Cruz has left a trail of a guy who has studied the Constitution and used his knowledge, including as Texas senator, to advance conservatism and halt leftism. He has a live, standing demonstrated record.
Trump has a record of being a middling real estate negotiator who has overstated his influence and savvy in media marketed imagery, switching parties at least three times in that duration, being an enthusiastic supporter of the Clintons, etc. etc. Do we really need to go into it? No.
We will all lose even if Trump wins because he's a big government leftist showman. Palin picked the loser. That's all there is to say.
>> I donât remember her being a bad speaker before, maybe she was nervous with this one <<
Age may have something to do with it. The cackle in the voice usually increases over the years.
GO SARAH GO. I watched her give a speech at the Tea Party rally in Searchlight Nevada. It was outstanding.
I guess a cackle beats cankles.
Keep telling yourself that when the Donald shows no principle.
I guess you can always fall back on the “Anything is better than Hillary” line.
Glad there’s two of us. I can’t imagine adults spatting like wildcats over what is and what is not a conservative as if only a conservative owns the Holy Grail.
I agree with you that it is a ridiculous notion that Sarah Palin should be home tending to her 26-year-old grown son.
When the wall is built and the military is on the way back from obscurity and America’s economy is growing instead of in the bottom of the bucket, I ‘ll be content and not worrying about how we got there.
Shame you didn’t make that Hillary and Bernie.
Trashing these two with that is just what they like.
>> her abdicating the trust endowed to her by the people of Alaska has never sat well with me <<
Megadittoes. That’s when I tuned out on Sarah. It took my wife a little longer, but she finally saw thru the Palin myth, thanks to Sarah’s reality TV and the like.
You didn’t answer the question.
So I will answer it for you.
Yes, Cruz would have welcomed her Presidential endorsement
as he did her Senate endorsement.
Sour grapes. That is all it is.
