Dr. Ben Carson has just announced he is suspending his run for the presidency temporarily. Some of his staff members were in a serious accident today⦠one of them is in grave condition. Carson will fly to Omaha to be with that staff memberâs family. Three student volunteers and a campaign staffer were in the vehicle that slid on an icy road. Just this weekend, Carson took the stage at the South Carolina Tea Party Coalition Convention in Myrtle Beach, where he told enthusiasts that âevery venueâ during his latest Iowa swing âwas standing room only.â He added, âI believe God is hearing the cry of many people in this country.â My prayers are with his staffer, volunteers, their families and Dr. Carson as well.

I pray everyone is OK.
:(
Prayers up for all these good people.
Amen!
Second it, prayers as well.
A foot is expected in VA. So its bad.
The way the weather folks are talking, it sounds like it could be the kind of storm we had here in 1996 - everything shut down for a week, which is unusual for the D.C. area.
I think there was freezing rain on top of the snow, which made it worse.

I was driving through Kansas some years back when I hit an ice storm. I found a Holiday Inn Express in Dodge City and waited it out.
I am hearing freezing rain and possible power loss can be expected. I will stock up on stuff.
Beats making the news, doesn’t it?
Worth using if posting articles with lots of ‘ and “ in them...

I am guessing in my part of the woods, 3-6 inches, but will have to check back on the weather websites.
My first thought as well. Dr. Carson is a lovely person and often misunderstood. I have heard some incredible trash talking about this man on this Forum. We love him here in Maryland. I support a different candidate for president, but hope Dr. Carson will be appointed to a worthy office, like head of Health and Human Services, Surgeon General, head of Centers for Disease Control or the like.
Your home page is just wonderful.
My Prayers for all who are injured!
Dr Carson has helped a lot of people in rough shape for the past few decades. Prayers for him and the staffers and their families.
fast mover...
Predictions here are up to more than a foot possible, some saying it could be two feet, so far. We’ve never had a storm like that or a winter power outage where we live now, and I’m a little concerned about it.
Of course, in the Metro DC area we sometimes get predictions like this that don’t pan out; and once when they predicted only flurries, it was a horrible storm and some school kids didn’t get home until 10 PM ;-)
I hope everyone stays safe and warm. It looks like they’ve named this one ‘Jonas’. (I’ve never gotten used to boy-names for storms...)

Prayers UP for everyone, healing for those injured, safety for those affected by the storm.
sounds like a bad one comin’ in...
Why thank you kindly. Have a blessed day, FRiend.
Lord, Watch over the future Surgeon General and his people!
