Dr. Ben Carson has just announced he is suspending his run for the presidency temporarily. Some of his staff members were in a serious accident today… one of them is in grave condition. Carson will fly to Omaha to be with that staff member’s family. Three student volunteers and a campaign staffer were in the vehicle that slid on an icy road. Just this weekend, Carson took the stage at the South Carolina Tea Party Coalition Convention in Myrtle Beach, where he told enthusiasts that “every venue†during his latest Iowa swing “was standing room only.†He added, “I believe God is hearing the cry of many people in this country.†My prayers are with his staffer, volunteers, their families and Dr. Carson as well.

His suspending his campaign probably has at least two motives; (1) Humanitarian;(2) a graceful way of withdrawing his candidacy.
Amen. Lord please protect and heal your servants.

Same here in NY.
If you don’t have 4 wheel drive and good snow tires, you’re taking your chances.
On ice, you are anyway. Anyone who goes out in ice is just plain crazy.
It’s make a pot of soup and grab a book and hot chocolate while the soup cooks day.
Prayers indeed for the injured, their families, for Dr. Carson and all of his campaign staff.
It’s a terrible thing when things like this happen, and that’s when we put aside any political considerations or inclinations and just pray, wish and hope for the best for our fellow human beings.
FR is famed for that. There were even prayers being sent up for Bill Clinton when he was undergoing heart surgery.
That says something good about us.
That is what I have been hearing that the snow is heading to the mid-Atlantic, New England areas towards end of the week.

Dear Lord Jesus please do miracles for all involved, reveal yourself to all of them and their families.
This is the second time Carson has suspended or whatever he wants to call it. He took a break from the campaign a few months ago to go on a book tour or something.
