Full title: Minnesota Teachers’ Opinions Required To Be Prefaced With “As A White Person…” Because, Racism. > > Does ANYONE else see something wrong with this? Teachers being punished while their students are allowed to create utter chaos in the classroom? Or is it just me? > > The story has gotten even worse (did think that was possible). According to this, a former middle school teacher filed a lawsuit against a school district in St. Paul saying that she was the victim of harassment and physical assaults from students, and that she was barred by district policy from doing anything about it. She tried talking to her principal about it, but according to the sourcelink, her complaints were met with hostility. In fact, her principal eventually required her to begin nearly every statement she made with the phrase “As a white woman, I feel…”

The metro doesn’t define outstate Minnesota. People are very different once you get away from the tall buildings.

It’s just the libs in the Twin Cities who make the news giving all of us s bad name. But-since they also love high taxes, there aren’t too many products manufactured here anymore anyway. Boycott away.

As a white person I am tired of your shiite and don’t really care about your plight.

It should be “White Fight” instead we have white flight.

There’s hardly anywhere else to “flight” to now.

From reading the article, it looks like the principal was looking for ways to eliminate white teachers from the faculty.

Fascism and revenge, masquerading as “diversity”, is a deadly combination for the destruction of society.

Next they’ll require white people to wear yellow stars on our clothes... Jews are also ‘white’ so we’ve seen this mentality before...

Which may pay off the victim, but will do little or nothing to cure the problem.

That's a good point. But it's not an either-or situation. The teacher needs to protect herself, and outside organizations need to get involved, strongly involved.

I might catch some flak for what I'm going to say now, but here goes. The old-time teacher unions never would have stood for this. The old-time union leaders might have been corrupt, but they were tough. Many were WW II or Korean War vets. If any member was treated like that lady, there would have been a formal protest from the union, and then the threat of a strike. And I'm not just guessing here. I've seen that first-hand.

But those old-time union leaders are gone. They have been replaced by ultra-liberal, politically-correct stooges. I seriously wouldn't be surprised if that lady's union filed a paper supporting the principal.

I’ve long wanted to visit MN, IA, and ND: the only three continental states in which I have never set foot. Somehow, I just can’t get the trip arranged. I presume I would fly to Minneapolis and rent a car. One can’t hardly fly into ND at a reasonable rate.

Suing the school administration may be satisfying, but it isn’t effective because the cost of settlements and judgements just gets passed along to the taxpayers.

There should be a way to sue the principle and superintendent personally.

Good point; the wealthier the educators got (many can now take skiing vacations during "winter breaks"), the more cowardly. And when they do stand up, they stand alone.

They haven’t really thought this through, obviously.
If you kill all the producers, that leaves you with nothing.

I suppose they think it’s a good idea to saw off the branch they’re sitting on as well.

Fighting against unimaginable stupidity is very difficult when you really just want to be left alone to earn a living and care for your family. I’m pretty sure that’s the real battle.

Fly to Minneapolis and you will be surrounded by hostile surly Somalis from the moment you touch down.

It’s now known as little Mogadishu.

I'm a veteran urban public school teacher. And here’s quick story for you.

Back when I was first hired, I went to a union meeting. During the questioning period, a black teacher went to the mic.

He demanded two things from the union: That we support a quota system for hiring more black teachers, and that we file a protest over the number of black students being suspended.

Our union president was a tough old Italian who was a former steelworker before becoming a teacher. No to the first demand he said. We want to see the best people hired, period.

And no to the second demand. If any kid misbehaves, black or white, he should be suspended, period.

You would never hear those answers from today's union leaders.

If you wanted to hit all three states and return to the same airport where you started I would fly into the twin cities.

I had one of my kids get his degree in Iowa, so I spent a lot of time there. Try the Amana colonies for an interesting two days.

Minnesota is a wonderful vacation destination, especially the north shore of Lake Superior and the Boundary Waters. The people are wonderful and outside the twin cities not at overwhelmingly leftist. I can spend two weeks there and have a lot to do.

North Dakota is something I will have to let others comment on. My wife calls that area South DeColda and North DeColder. I want to see the T R. park someday but I have a long list before that one is at the top,

I love the Minnesota people I have met.
