Ted Cruz camp: 'Blow to Sarah Palin' if she endorses Donald Trump
Washington Times ^ | 01/19/2016 | David Sherfinski

A spokesman for Sen. Ted Cruz's presidential campaign said Tuesday it would be a "blow" to former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin if she endorsed businessman Donald Trump for president.

"I think it [would] be a blow to Sarah Palin, because Sarah Palin has been a champion for the conservative cause, and if she was going to endorse Donald Trump, sadly, she would be endorsing someone who's held progressive views all their life on the sanctity of life, on marriage, on partial-birth abortion," Cruz campaign spokesman Rick Tyler said on CNN's "New Day."

Thank you for the explanation. I understand what you are saying, but I actually love the picture and the headline, because I feel Christ might well be at the point where He will intervene [and it won’t be pretty], if we don’t get this election Right.

PAC $$ says a lot, too.

PACs are not controlled by the candidates.

Are you really OK with supporting a man who gave $250,000 to the CLINTON PAY FOR PLAY FOUNDATION?

Really?

Who woulda thunk it? Is Glenn Beck leading the charge?

I have defended Sarah Palin every step of the way, this would certainly put her in a different light in my book. Still cant believe she would do this, if she did it would be like saying that she shares Trumps view of Cruz, that he is in fact as bad as Trump says.

If she does this she is saying that Cruz is a terrible man, there is no 2 ways about it.

I was referring to Palin, and how much mileage her appearance gets her, on the merits. I think that is pretty close to none.

Same goes for Trump. His hairdo is funny, so is Rubio's toupee and Christie's girth. So we laugh (maybe that's wrong) or swoon, but eventually, the opinions flow from the merits, not the appearance.

I think we need to wait for the announcement. Everyone will be surprised. To some it will be a let down.

Maybe she likes Trump better. She should do as she wants to. She owes Cruz nothing. He owes her. Cozing up with Beck is not a way to do it.

If she did this, it would be inconsistent with the last book she just put out.

There is no choice.
Cruz is a good man with a good head on his shoulders.
But he can’t win.
Unfortunate? Yes.
We can not put our hope into anyone who’s major accomplishment is to win elections and lawyer. Anyone who considers being a politician is a career, is someone who has a conflict with the Constitution. It is one thing, an honorable thing to be a Statesman, it is an evil thing to be a career politician.
Senator Cruz, may well be a Statesman... frankly it is far too early to tell.

I wouldn’t think it would hurt Cruz campaign very much. Most real conservatives have been able to recognize that Palin is at best a conservative second, with her primary goal to finagle the best spot for Palin.

If you sort out the new stuff, he is a typical liberal Demorat.
