Man-made heat put into the world's oceans has DOUBLED since 1997: Energy absorbed equivalent to Hiroshima bomb being exploded every second for 75 years

The amount of man-made heat energy absorbed by the seas has doubled since 1997, a new study has revealed.

Scientists have long known that more than 90 percent of the heat energy from man-made global warming goes into the world's oceans instead of the ground.

Researchers have now tracked how much man-made heat has been buried in the oceans in the past 150 years.

When oceans absorb all that heat it keeps the surface from getting even warmer from the heat-trapping gases spewed by the burning of coal, oil and gas, the scientists said.

Have scientists stopped considering the sun? Long piece and it wasn't mentioned once.

Ask any lib. The sun has nothing to do with climate.

The “sun” is a denier myth, and 97% of scientists doubt that it even exists.

Wow, that sounds really important.... Anyway, I had to get a new rack and pinion assembly in an old Toyota truck yesterday. Finally chased down an odd vibration.

If I could absorb every joule of energy hitting a football field for 75 years and store it in the space of a basketball then release it all at once in about a second I could destroy an entire city!!!!!

Oh NOES!!!!

The gore-bull warming BS artists do not understand how science works...

I think it’s time to ban the sun.

Yup, yup.

Now let’s read about this heat as a percentage of the total heat added per day/week/etc.

Then we can talk.

“The warmer the oceans get, the less heat they can absorb and the more heat stays in the air and on land surface, the study’s co-author, Chris Forest at Pennsylvania State University, said.”

Well, hopefully this will help stop the glaciers from returning to Wisconsin anytime soon.

It seems it would be easy enough to test this hypothesis of theirs. They could start with a thermometer.

I think it’s time to ban the sun.

Mr. Burns can take care of that.

What about volcanoes?

I heard that Mt. St. Helens eruption in 1981 released more energy than hundreds of 20 megaton devices. 20 megatons is 1000 times greater than the device that devastated Hiroshima.

I don’t reckon they have factored in even one submarine volcanic eruption...

90 percent of the heat energy from man-made global warming goes into the world's oceans instead of the ground

So no energy escapes to space?
