This wasn't really surprising to those of us who recognize this is a man trying to talk a talk he's not walking, nor is he familiar with....and it's not just Christianity he's doing this with.

When Trump says “We're going to protect”....he never means anyone else but himself as the great Protector of his audiences. When you understand his personality type and style he's an easy read. How any times does he refer to his audience as “My” people? It pays to listen to his choice of verbiage.

I've never heard any believer refer to a second book of the Bible as "two".

Exodus (Shemot) is the second book of the Bible, whether someone is a believer or not.

Indeed. It be one thing to charge Trump with trying to sound like a Bible Christian now when he has not invoked Scripture as his basis for morality, but using "Two Corinthians" (which i have seen Catholics use) is not much of a substantive criticism. Yet the 500 responses here shows the temperature of the political debate.
