Donald Trump, speaking to a religious crowd at Virginia's Liberty University on Monday, turned to scripture.
"We're going to protect Christianity. I can say that. I don't have to be politically correct," he said. "Two Corinthians, 3:17, that's the whole ballgame ... is that the one you like?"

Nope. I’d rather say it was odd-sounding and let the reader make his own decision.
Knock it off. There is no need for vulgarity.
Dose yerself with truth, then get back to me- with requests about vulgarity.
Ain’t you the cat’s paw?
Not really. Why do you ask?

The Bible Gateway does exactly that.
Good.
Well, of course. That’s the proper way to write it. But when you click the audio, you hear “second.”
When Trump says “We're going to protect”....he never means anyone else but himself as the great Protector of his audiences. When you understand his personality type and style he's an easy read. How any times does he refer to his audience as “My” people? It pays to listen to his choice of verbiage.
450 posts and nobody said it: Trump supports the Two Amendment!
Now that’s funny. To me. ;)
He wasn’t playing the audio - nor does scripture proscribe a correct way to pronounce the reference.
I give him credit for taking the initiative to read from God’s Word. It doesn’t come back void.
The way anyone who has attended more than one church service in their entire life would immediately know how to say it.

Dude, I am two months away from being ordained as a pastor and this is a really, really, really, REALLY stupid whine. I’ve said ‘two’ before when referring to these books, and no one has cared for an instant.
My, so bitter.
All right, GOP voters, let's see who this "Christian conservative" really is!
I don’t care for an instant this time either, iI just got a chuckle out of an obvious flub by Trump. It doesn’t change my opinion of him, I still like him. And I do hope you get the correct pronouniation down pat by the time of your ordination so that people can take you seriously.
Perfect? Never. I seek forgiveness. Trump never does.
Exodus (Shemot) is the second book of the Bible, whether someone is a believer or not.
Indeed. It be one thing to charge Trump with trying to sound like a Bible Christian now when he has not invoked Scripture as his basis for morality, but using "Two Corinthians" (which i have seen Catholics use) is not much of a substantive criticism. Yet the 500 responses here shows the temperature of the political debate.
Trump acting Christian is like Hillary acting black. It doesn’t work.
