n a sermon last year at an Irving, Texas, megachurch that helped elect Ted Cruz to the United States Senate, Cruzâ father Rafael Cruz indicated that his son was among the evangelical Christians who are anointed as âkingsâ to take control of all sectors of society, an agenda commonly referred to as the âSeven Mountainsâ mandate, and âbring the spoils of war to the priestsâ, thus helping to bring about a prophesied âgreat transfer of wealthâ, from the âwickedâ to righteous gentile believers.

Wow....thanks for those links.
I’ve only heard about this strange theology on a surface level. These links go in to a lot of clear detail.
Scary stuff. Will continue researching.
Maybe only one of many. Remember Satan is a created being, and therefore doesn’t know everything. So he has had to have an anti-Christ ready in the wings in case the end comes. Now Satan knows the Scriptures better than most Christians, so he knows his time is getting very short. Things are going to get really rocky from now on.
Actually no.
We are all priests and kings:
Spiritual anointing with the Holy Ghost is conferred also upon Christians by God. ( 2 Corinthians 1:21 ) “ Anointing “expresses the sanctifying influences of the Holy Spirit upon Christians who are priests and kings unto God.
Plus, the man who heads Wallbuilders (can't recall name right now) is supporting Ted and is shown praying with Ted. That's good enough for me.
It's been around for a while. Some people have a problem with the video in that the excerpts make you think Rafael was speaking specifically about Ted however the full video of the sermon suggest Rafael was talking about the entire congregation.
The theology is known as Seven Mountains Dominionism and has evangelical support.
You get to choose your friends. You don’t get to choose your parents.
Maybe that’s what’s in his hair. Annointment.
Sounds like the evangelical version of what the mullahs have done in Iran.
While I will reluctantly vote for Cruz if nominated, please consider the following.
My Son âAnointedâ To âTake Control of Societyâ..
Harvard Law School-indoctrinated Cruz has evidently not told has father about the federal governments constitutionally limited powers.
Remember in November !
So if patriots elect Cruz, or whatever conservative they elect, they will also need to elect a new, state sovereignty-respecting Congress that will work within its constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers to support the president.
In fact, note that such a Congress will also probably be willing to fire state sovereignty-ignoring activist justices.
anointed, anointing
Question: “What is the anointing? What does it mean to be anointed?”
Answer: The origin of anointing was from a practice of shepherds. Lice and other insects would often get into the wool of sheep, and when they got near the sheep’s head, they could burrow into the sheep’s ears and kill the sheep. So, ancient shepherds poured oil on the sheep’s head. This made the wool slippery, making it impossible for insects to get near the sheep’s ears because the insects would slide off. From this, anointing became symbolic of blessing, protection, and empowerment.
The New Testament Greek words for âanointâ are chrio, which means âto smear or rub with oilâ and, by implication, âto consecrate for office or religious serviceâ; and aleipho, which means âto anoint.â In Bible times, people were anointed with oil to signify Godâs blessing or call on that personâs life (Exodus 29:7; Exodus 40:9; 2 Kings 9:6; Ecclesiastes 9:8; James 5:14). A person was anointed for a special purposeâto be a king, to be a prophet, to be a builder, etc. There is nothing wrong with anointing a person with oil today. We just have to make sure that the purpose of anointing is in agreement with Scripture. Anointing should not be viewed as a “magic potion.” The oil itself does not have any power. It is only God who can anoint a person for a specific purpose. If we use oil, it is only a symbol of what God is doing.
Another meaning for the word anointed is “chosen one.” The Bible says that Jesus Christ was anointed by God with the Holy Spirit to spread the Good News and free those who have been held captive by sin (Luke 4:18-19; Acts 10:38). After Christ left the earth, He gave us the gift of the Holy Spirit (John 14:16). Now all Christians are anointed, chosen for a specific purpose in furthering God’s Kingdom (1 John 2:20). “Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is God, who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee” (2 Corinthians 1:21-22).
The sermon is legit however the full video suggests he was talking to the entire congregation.
Ted Cruz is a Southern Baptist. I do not care what church his father belongs to or what he preaches.
I am a Catholic and certain members of my family think I am going to hell because I am not of their church. If I ran for office, these people could be quoted to say I am going to hell. I remember when John Kennedy, a Catholic, was running for president and people said he would turn the country into a Catholic country and they did not vote for him for that reason.
Don’t you need to be playing Twister on one of Isara’s threads?
This is truly peculiar stuff. I must admit that my jaw dropped quite a bit whilst viewing the video.
Glen Beck is now a full fledged Mormon and you know what they believe and who they worship and it isn’t God, it’s Joseph Smith...
I watched this complete video. Does this smell somewhat of “prosperity gospel”? Yes, but sure doesn’t warrant the Dominionist “Cruz is a cultist” the sky is falling charge.
Ted's father has been a campaign surrogate for him from the get-go.
If you have evidence that Cruz has distanced himself from his father's beliefs, please post links.
First I heard of it. Course I do not church shop. But it does explain much about Ted. The “My Son Anointed .... sure sounds specific.
Thank you for your quote.
Didn’t Barbara Bush say something similar about W? Don’t remember exactly, but something about him being chosen for the time ahead.
