Conservative radio host Glenn Beck apologized for claiming that Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump had voted for President Barack Obama in 2012 and 2016, saying he'd been duped by a fake tweet.
Beck was a guest on Fox News' "The O'Reilly Factor" last week, making a case for why he thinks "progressive" Trump would be as big of a "monster" as Barack Obama â a case he's been making for many months.
Trump watched and responded to the show with a slew of unpleasant opinions about "dopey" Beck to a New Hampshire crowd.
When Trump denied ever having voted for the president Beck tweeted:
Why do you keep saying things like you didn't vote for @BarackObama ?⦠just admit it @realDonaldTrump pic.twitter.com/ZgL9OAOZck
â Glenn Beck (@glennbeck) January 16, 2016
There’s that ;-)
I knew that was cumming.
I hope Trump sues him until he’s bloodless.
Either you mean 2008 and 2012 or I missed the memo about the successful construction of a TIME MACHINE!
Trump voted for Obama in 2012 and ... 2016? WTF OVR?
Then Rush when he first started on syndication.
So...I admit, I usually turn on the talk radio station (where a very close relative had and has a great career and is a great conservative) when I awaken and it stays on in the background til I fall asleep, awaken, and turn it off in the wee hours.
Beck's 3 hour show is on the local talk radio. It is such a TRAIN WRECK, that I often find myself listening, kind of like you slow down and look at a bad car accident, or how people are drawn to morbid TV shows going over every detail of a tragic plane crash.
Beck's current three hours daily consist of fawning, worshipping praise of Cruz, analyzing his every word and movement and I'm sure if Cruz farted on mic, Beck would spend a half hour praising what a wonderful fart it was.
Alternately, then Beck and his sycophants attack Trump so childishly and ridiculously you can't avert your eyes (or ears) due to the disbelief that Beck has a job, much less in talk radio.
Either you mean 2008 and 2012 or I missed the memo about the successful construction of a TIME MACHINE!
Thank you. Couldn’t have said it better myself.
Trump should sue Beck and all the radio stations he is heard on. Settle out of court for all the stations to drop him
Yep. Another embarrassment from Cruz. We are used to it for the last 8 years from Obama. Cruz will be the same way. Utter ridiculous that has has even one fan.
Brilliant.
Poor Glenn. He is melting down in public, and that is unfortunate for anyone, but relegated to writing, in silence, I would add the proverbial “padded room” might be a must, for dealing with his more obnoxious, unmanageable outbursts.
It’s on Breitbart, now, too....

Beck jumped Sharknado!
OH yeaaaah.
The article then says that after Beck apologized, he said:
Update: this is a deleted tweet from the trump Twitter feed.
My researchers are split tonight on whether or not this was a hack or fake.
Doesn’t look like his supports are very good sports!!!
This just went from being a really embarrassing professional mistake.... straight to "this man is making a fool of himself."
I bet the Fox crew jumps on this and makes fun of him.
Any minute now, Glenn should expect a courtesy knock on his front door from one of “those nice young men in their clean white coats!” They’re coming to take you away.
Over the years I have also been a big radio fan.
Talk radio was a natural to listen to. Out here there were Guys like Bream, Putnam, Medvid, and Hewitt. I’ve admired Rush’s show for many years, but I have never been an avid listener. In fact, Putnam was one of the guys I listened to the most, and I admired Ray Briem quite a bit.
Putnam and Briem faded away, and Medvid and Hewitt slid ever more moderate or in some cases out and out Leftist. Hewitt is basically a schmuck. Medvid would make a great GOPe mouth-piece.
I like Rush a lot. I know he isn’t alway directly in my camp, but if you listen to Rush over time, you’ll find yourself 75% of the way to real Conservatism, and that’s the type of show you want.
You don’t want a show that presents the total of Conservatism, because out and out unvarnished Conservatism would scare the hell out of most people.
I consider Rush to be Introductory to Conservatism 101 to Intermediate Conservatism 102. People have to come to F.R. to get the advanced education in detail, and learn how to debate the issues.
At one point it got the place where I wanted to develop my own thoughts without being influenced by Rush or the others.
I can’t listen to talk radio or music all the time.
I need quiet think time.
At any rate, I identify with your comments.
Thank you.
