I am OLD, seldom turn on TV, am a habitual talk-radio listener. Probably started when my dad would watch Joe Pyne when I was a kid. And going to sleep listening to radio all of my childhood.

Then Rush when he first started on syndication.

So...I admit, I usually turn on the talk radio station (where a very close relative had and has a great career and is a great conservative) when I awaken and it stays on in the background til I fall asleep, awaken, and turn it off in the wee hours.

Beck's 3 hour show is on the local talk radio. It is such a TRAIN WRECK, that I often find myself listening, kind of like you slow down and look at a bad car accident, or how people are drawn to morbid TV shows going over every detail of a tragic plane crash.

Beck's current three hours daily consist of fawning, worshipping praise of Cruz, analyzing his every word and movement and I'm sure if Cruz farted on mic, Beck would spend a half hour praising what a wonderful fart it was.

Alternately, then Beck and his sycophants attack Trump so childishly and ridiculously you can't avert your eyes (or ears) due to the disbelief that Beck has a job, much less in talk radio.

Over the years I have also been a big radio fan.

Talk radio was a natural to listen to. Out here there were Guys like Bream, Putnam, Medvid, and Hewitt. I’ve admired Rush’s show for many years, but I have never been an avid listener. In fact, Putnam was one of the guys I listened to the most, and I admired Ray Briem quite a bit.

Putnam and Briem faded away, and Medvid and Hewitt slid ever more moderate or in some cases out and out Leftist. Hewitt is basically a schmuck. Medvid would make a great GOPe mouth-piece.

I like Rush a lot. I know he isn’t alway directly in my camp, but if you listen to Rush over time, you’ll find yourself 75% of the way to real Conservatism, and that’s the type of show you want.

You don’t want a show that presents the total of Conservatism, because out and out unvarnished Conservatism would scare the hell out of most people.

I consider Rush to be Introductory to Conservatism 101 to Intermediate Conservatism 102. People have to come to F.R. to get the advanced education in detail, and learn how to debate the issues.

At one point it got the place where I wanted to develop my own thoughts without being influenced by Rush or the others.

I can’t listen to talk radio or music all the time.

I need quiet think time.

At any rate, I identify with your comments.

Thank you.
