Sen. Marco Rubio says people who immigrated to the U.S. illegally but haven't committed any major crimes could be allowed to stay.
In an interview airing Sunday on NBC's "Meet the Press," the Florida Republican contender for the presidency said felons shouldn't be allowed to stay, but those who commit lesser crimes could still qualify. He didn't specify if the people allowed to stay would ever be able to become citizens.

He has his orders.
Why don’t the rivals state the obvious about this puppet and get him out of the mix?
“people who immigrated to the U.S. illegally but haven’t committed any major crimes”........
If you enter the U.S. “illegally”, that IS a major crime in my book. They should be deported and then allowed to apply for entrance into the U.S. LEGALLY.
I guess I don’t understand the how law-breakers can be law-abiding. Must be some kind of nuance.
They should be deported and forever barred re-entry for any reason. They are criminal invaders...PERIOD. Let them go home and stay there. Maybe they should have thought twice about entering illegally before they came.
seems like there’s a conflict in Marco’s heart.
total interview..he says a 12 yr waiting period, pay taxes and a 10 yr wait for citizenship.
Can you say political suicide?
what a piece of @#$@#$ whore to the highest bidder
he has an out of control spending problem, so bad that even Congress thought he was using his government Credit Card (whatever that is) too much.
they ALREADY broke the law.
and now they can stay even if they break minor laws???
so 15 million people are forgiven for doing, the FIRST thing they do in this country, breaking the law by crossing.
what laws do we get to get away with?
i was a LITTLE thinking of maybe legal status, but FReepers reminded me in shorter order that it is UNFAIR To all those waiting legally AND the first dem president that comes in will make the citizens.
they have to go.
and no more muzzies
How is someone who entered the country ILLEGALLY not a criminal, Marco? And why is someone who has been here ILLEGALLY for a long time above the law?
He's as liberal as can be on immigration.
“Can you say political suicide?”
The anchor baby is playing to the GOPe; he thinks they will put him over.
And Mark Levin hates, despises, the natural born concept that is in the Constitution.
Well, I’m sold! As long as they don’t kill, rape, or abuse the Earned Income Tax Credit, let ‘em in! < /S >
Foreigners who’ve never been caught in the US can enter legally. Foreigners who are on the criminal alien lists, should never be allowed entry.
This way, Criminaliens here now are highly encouraged to self-deport. It’s their only chance they have to re-enter.
No because every day you’ll read right here, several Freepers calling him a possible running mate for Trump or that they place him on their potentials’ list.
How do they work? They have to. Work under the table, not paying taxes, or use a false identity and get huge tax returns. If you are a citizen those are major crimes.
There is no such thing as a law abiding II because they break the law to come here.
Sick of that idiotic myth.
Go away and don’t come back!
