If the Trump/Cruz kerfuffle about Cruz’s eligibility to be President is some sort of calculated political theater, then I will be the first to nominate them both for an Oscar.

Heidi Cruz stopped working for GS when Ted decided to run. If he loses, I believe that she has the option of re hewing her position.
This whole G/S thing is a load, and NO, I do not like G/S anymore than you do.
And because it's central role player is a well known “fighter” he has organized and presented himself exactly as the “Fighter's” do in a Final Match of lead fighter's.
Trump rouses the crowds at every rally with all the pageantry of a Wrestling match....from his Grand Entrance to cheering fans while he struts the stage in his grandiose way.....Then he tells his fans everything they want to hear....boisterous and taring down his opponent as fighter's do in the rink.......with all the vocabulary fighters use...”He's rotten” He's bad’’ He's this and that and the crowd cheers him on loving every minute .....anticipating the next moment he might "perform" another unexpected "hit".
This is not a wrestling ring......but it's all Trump knows....though he is learning he has to now be a politician to pull this off. Well no thank you....Our country doesn't have time for Trump to figure out the landscape in Washington...let alone the rules of that game....we don't have the time for him to "learn" by busting the wrong things up and leaving a mess where the good men we have there need to pick up after him, ....we need them all on the deck steering this ship out of the storm.....and while doing so know where the enemy has buried their landmines.
Right now Cruz has a team all in place to move when his feet hit the ground there....they know who each other is and what the plan is......Cruz's returns to Washington over his campaign hasn't been just to attend congress....the game is being set.....I don't want to see a deckhand, (and Trumps not even that) grab the wheel of this ship who has no understanding of how to steer let alone keep the course or change it!

No thanks! We’ve had plenty of the DC insiders....who know the ins and outs of all things about the DC cesspool.
We the People are completely disgusted and fed up with these career politicians. Most have not even ever managed a business, nor owned a business.
Talk about ‘messing things up’....that’s just what these politicians/DC insiders have continuously done.
If you think another junior Senator lawyer with a whole “team” of MORE ready and GLADLY willing DC insiders is the answer to our country’s problems, you are in the minority. The noisy majority is done with that.
Trump’s greatest attribute may be his ability to speak over the media and entrenched Washington pols and directly to the mainstream American people.
He seemingly has the ability to ferret the issues challenging our nation and take them on directly. I think his bite will be worse than his bark. He doesn’t suffer fools easily, whatever their political stripe.
Further we DO have good men working very hard in Washington, Ted Cruz is one of a precious few along with Jeff Sessions and others.......who without their effort Trump wouldn't even have the stage he's on. You know this.
I will not take any responsibility for putting Trump into the office of President....you know full well where I stand regarding him.
As far as people being fed up....well I'm not going to get behind a blowhard just to hear him mimic the ‘emotions’ of the masses that follow him.....he says nothing we don't already know....and I for one don't need his mouth to speak for me...and I certainly wouldn't want him ever to!
We have a great Conservative running who fits everything Conservatives have wanted as a leader of this country.....Ted Cruz......and I will not throw that opportunity under the bus for some old man who wants to take a swing at being President to 'top off' his otherwise notorious businesses practices, (speaking of cesspools) and unethical Hollywood lifestyle,.....the very nature of this man is exactly what we're trying to get out of Washington.!
I love the flowers over there - Plumeria and hibiscus are two of my favorites. Wow! you have quite the assortment of wonderful fruits - lucky you!!
We used to always stay at our friends’ condo in Kaanapali - right on the beach - - it was great!
Some of our friends stayed in a condo at Kihei (they liked to golf at Wailea). Was only there once or twice, but at least where their place was, it was rather rocky getting to the beach - didn’t get a chance to explore Kihei more.
It was fun to walk around and have a bite to eat at Lanai, too (which, IIRC is about 1/2 way between Kihei and Kaanapali).
We’d hit the Costco that wasn’t far from the airport and buy food, etc. before we checked in.
IIRC housing has been fairly expensive in Hawaii for some time, I suspect it’s much worse now. I watch the housing shows on HGTV every now and then - beautiful places but high $$s, even for the smaller ones that aren’t that close to the beach. Lucky you moving close to the beach - I’m sure you’ll really enjoy it. It’s so relaxing even looking out at the water and hearing the ocean - love it!!

Great post I totally agree,Cruz is my #2 out of desperation but he’s not clean by any means.
I love to do the Electric Slide - don’t go to many weddings but that’s where it’s normally done along with the Macarena (fun, too).
I can’t help but wonder if Trump isn’t bringing this NBC thing up with Cruz as he really would like him to be his VP (as he somewhat hinted at during the debate). Some folks are slamming Trump for bringing it up; however, as he said, Cruz should get it out of the way now as the Dims will certainly sue - the idiot Grayson in FL has been saying that for some time and there’s a guy in Texas that has already started a suit. There’s been discussion about who has “standing” to bring such a suit and, while I’ve read a little about it, I don’t know what is needed to have standing in any suit, let alone one like this.
Keep up the good work in talking to Dims in Delaware - some may finally get the picture! I didn’t watch the Dem debate last night but read through part of the thread here on FR and heard a few soundbites this a.m. on Fox and Friends. I’ve thought for some time that Mrs. Bill got voice coaching some time ago as her voice is lower that what I recall it used to be (though she still gets into screeching from time to time). That said, I think what some guys have said during 2008 and even now, it would be like listening to 4 years of listening to your ex-wife nagging you if she was elected.
Emotion is part of politics. Obama's hope and change resulted in the two highest vote totals for President in American history, by far. You can use whatever analogy you want, wrestling, war, etc. In politics as in wrestling and war, there are winners and losers. The objective is to win.

That option is open to every candidate. You seem to have a rather odd view of politics. You seem oblivious to how politicians orchestrate their campaigns and appearances. They want and need an audience. I have worked on Presidential advance teams overseas. Every move by the minute of a President is planned. The venues are scouted to ensure the right photo-op. Audiences are screened and vetted. Many hours are devoted to creating the right impression. Trump seems to be a natural. He knows how to appeal to his audiences. What is wrong with that?

LOL. Lots of conflicting and silly analogies. Look, Trump is the real outsider who represents the people's discontent with the political class that is disconnected from the people. The idea that Trump is incapable of running the country is nonsense. We have had 8 years of a first term senator who was a community organizer with no achievements. Now we have another first term senator who has spent most of his working life in government and with little executive experience.

Cruz is a grandstanding gadfly who is a pariah in his own party. He is consumed with political ambition similar to the current occupant of the WH and Hillary. Trump is right, Cruz is a nasty guy who is not liked after people get to know him. Cruz is not electable in the general election.
Your vitriol and hate towards Trump blind you to the fact that MORE Americans feel exactly the same way about ‘your idol’, CRuz.
The good man in DC that you mention also happens to like Trump. A lot. So, Trump will have the best of DC AND in the finance world, defense, etc. Our deals with other countries will be negotiated with brilliant minds that ARE NOT DC insiders, same with our economy...the can will not continue to be kicked down the road....to line DC lobbyists/politicians’ pockets.
We have a candidate running who has FINALLY brought to the forefront ALL of the issues true conservatives have been clamoring for: Illegal Immigration, Our safety, our dear vets, our pathetic trade ‘deals’, etc, etc. Yet you’re willing to call a junior Senator, who’s had his eyes set on becoming President, since before he was even elected Senator, ready to lead.
CRuz needs to get more experience under his belt...maybe step out into the private sector for a while and/or run for Governor. We’ve seen the damage (especially junior) Senator’s can do, as President’s.
Go ahead...stay home. It’ll help what’s likely your ultimate goal, anyhow....to elect Bernie.

Yes, the flowers are wondrous. We had company right after Christmas and did the things you do when you have company.
We drove the road to Hana and we went to the Botanical gardens up in Kula (higher elevation). I should have written down the names of the flowers but, of course, I didn’t.
African Tulip is the only one I remember and African Tulip trees abound on Maui.
Kihei is my favorite. We’ve made an offer on a house there. It’s not on the beach but you can walk to the beach. And there’s a good whale watching platform there.

First he's not a "natural" at manipulating an audience...he spent 30 years learning the Hollywood trade of honing in on an audience.... That's what entertainers do and are by trade........You ask..." What's wrong with that?"....because in this Presidential race Trump is wearing 'a mask of conservatism' which he is not. ....therefore it's deception.
You added that.... "Trump represents 'the people's discontent' with the political class."........Oh!..so now we vote because a candidate 'represents discontent' rather than standing strong on the 'principles' of Conservatism that should be their foundation? ....I don't think so!...But then there are a host of people who are content to just have a "fighter" though they have no idea where Trump 'really' stands on the issues that concern us....he has no history of 'doing' anything for those principles or this country of that which he now claims he wants to "Serve". ....what service has he performed aside form that of his own self serving ideas?
You mentioned Obama's Lack of EXECUTIVE EXPERIENCE but you must know that all the executive experience in the world wouldn’t have made Obama a good president because he is so wrong ideologically.....but also because Obama has neither the temperament nor the perspective to be an effective leader....... With Obama, it’s always ALL about Obama, and executive experience would not have changed that because it’s fundamentally who he is.....the same applies to Trump...it's 'ALL' about Trump 24/7....and most assuredly his History reveals just that and to date!
Furthermore...I would certainly rather have 'a Principled Conservative, tried and proven, and that 'with less management experience then some might expect,... who follows the Constitution and Laws for the people's benefit and done so within the Government.... than a 'liberal', (which Trump is), with lots of business experience, who boasts of those he's "payed for from both sides of the aisle",... who knows little at best of our Constitution or of the framework of how Government branches operate..... There's a huge difference there!
And BTW Cruz has had far more experience then Obama did, (who isn't running keep in mind), for five years as Solicitor General CruZ had charge of of 700 Ego maniac lawyers to coral and kept in line an agency of over 4000...not to mention orchestrating a campaign with thousands on the ground working for him throughout the nation.... I don't think he'll have any problem navigating the Washington terrain at all... He's been there...knows how things are done and where the power is and needs to be dealt with....and he's already got people in place to move when his feet hit the ground....
Should we also add Trump, unlike Cruz, has no moral compass?....
