Even as GOP presidential contender Ted Cruz faces scrutiny over failing to disclose certain loans used in a previous Senate race, Donald Trump did not miss an opportunity to bring the Texas senator's Canadian birth into the mix.
As the New York Times reported, not only did Cruz fail to disclose a Goldman Sachs loan used for his 2012 Senate campaign, he also apparently failed to disclose a loan from Citibank for the same race. In a series of tweets Saturday morning, Trump, the Republican presidential frontrunner, eviscerated his fellow candidate and raised more questions regarding his citizenship.
"Based on the fact that Ted Cruz was born in Canada and is therefore a 'natural born Canadian,' did he borrow unreported loans from [Canadian] banks," Trump tweeted.
Since Cruz has crept closer to Trump in polls, the business mogul has repeatedly raised questions over Cruz's eligibility to hold the office of president as he was born in Canada to an American mother and a Cuban father.
"Ted Cruz said he 'didn't know' that he was a Canadian Citizen. He also FORGOT to file his Goldman Sachs Million $ loan papers. Not believable," Trump said in another tweet Saturday morning.
"Oh no, just reported that Ted Cruz didn't report another loan, this one from Citi. Wow, no wonder banks do so well in the U.S. Senate," Trump continued.
Trump also continued to criticized Cruz for comments he's made about "New York values" on the campaign trail and during Fox Business' Republican presidential debate Thursday.
"The Ted Cruz wiseguy apology to the people of New York is a disgrace. Remember, his wife's employer, and his lender, is located there!" Trump tweeted Saturday.
Cruz's wife, Heidi, announced last year that she was taking an unpaid leave of absence from Goldman Sachs...

How about some honesty and just say he broke no laws, no ethics, no morals and is subject to no penalties at all after he amends his filing. Would that be asking to much?
Oh, but it is a crime not to report them to the FEC. Get your facts straight Mr. know-it-all with the supposed high IQ. It is a violation of FEC rules. Just reporting them to the Senate isn’t enough. Go sharpen your IQ, then get back with us. On second thought - just go crawl back under that rock from whence you came - you are slimy and sleazy, just like Crus.
Actually FEC is worse because that is what is used to run for President. He knew exactly what he was doing. But he got caught. Actually he was dumb for thinking he could get away with it. He just didn’t want GS to be front and center in his campaign. He is a snake though.
Front and center in his first national office campaign. During the 2010 TEA election. Cruz had many reasons to “forget” to report those Wall Street millions given to his “grass roots” campaign. The whole deal reeks. I suspect he knew his many connections to GS looked BAD and that Mrs. Cruz is the one behind this mess.

If the New York clown is elected don’t be too upset when he changes his spots. He changes like a chameleon. He has admitted that. Throwing fits was funny on his TV show but not attractive in the real world. He has a problem.

Cruz never attacked Trumps mother. He stated the fact that she was born in Scotland and naturalized as a US citizen. Watch the tape.
Trump is thin-skinned and gets angry whenever he is challenged on anything he has said or done. He doesn't have the temperament to serve as president.

Probably not Canadian banks but I heard he borrowed from some Martian banks. I don’t know for sure but that is what I heard thru the grapevine. Yep, and he had it flown into the country by a Russian spy plane in the middle of the night.

It is wrong. And so are you. Cruz will never face any charges from the FEC for an administrative oversight and if you think he will then put your money where your big mouth is. A grand ? 5 grand? You name the number.
