Ever since Sen. Ted Cruz claimed in the most recent GOP debate that âI think most people know exactly what New York values areâ as a slight against Donald Trump, examples of #NewYorkValues, mostly humorous, have been seen all over Twitter. Today, though, Trump took the concept to new heights (or depths) by posting a photo from 9/11 and asking, âIs this the New York that Ted Cruz is talking about & demeaning?â
Some liked Trump firing back at Cruz with both barrels, while others called use of the photo âvulgar exploitation.â Weâre not sure if or how Cruz will respond to this latest broadside from Trump, but a few people have taken the rhetoric down a few notches by altering Trumpâs challenge to Cruz.
For example, millennials are probably more familiar with viral sensation Pizza Rat than 9/11.

Cruz is trying to divert attention.
Hey that rat is not using a fork!
Trump is using the dead bodies of Americans and the smoldering ruins of the towers as a political attack--and it's Cruz who's trying to divert attention!??
I was willing to buy into the narrative that Trump was a patriot, but this is too much. What sort of patriot uses dead Americans as props in cheap political theater? And against a man he's praised and a member of the party he wants to lead? Disgusting. Disgraceful. Enraging.
For the record, 9/11 had nothing to do with New York values. First responders and emergency personnel would have responded the same way in any city in this country. Those are American values.
What a communicator! Having to explain things multiple times after the fact.
LOL, you really are full of it aren’t you.
Remember this from September 9th, 2015?
You were always a big supporter weren’t you.

Trump or any other candidate has no bearing on the ineligibility of Cruz. Cruz brought up the “New York values” and Trump walked right into it. Whatever Trump or anyone else says does not change the fact that Cruz initiated the diversion.

Hey Doughty, and that exposes what? Huh?
I wrote that I was willing to buy into the narrative that Trump was a patriot. I never claimed to be a "big supporter". Never. Period. Full stop. You flat out made that up. And have a helluva nerve to use a made up claim to make me appear to be "full of it."
How does that rib by me about his hair in the context of him mocking Fiorina's looks in any way shape or form undermine me?
An embarrassing stretch on your part, which, said to say, has been your standard form in recent days.
Yeah, well you can spin it any way you like, but most folks won’t buy what you’re selling after looking at your own posts.
Comrade DeBloodio. Need I say more?
Trump is trying to divert attention.
The GOPe is trying to divert attention.
True, that.
How so? They didn’t start the “NY values” bit.
Riiiight......I guess it would be best to just forget it ever happened and to sweep those who risked (or gave) their all after the planes hit the tower.
I guess that Darryl Worley must have really disgusted you with "Have You Forgotten"....
Some folks can find crap in a hot fudge sundae...

It takes a remarkable intellectual deficiency to equate memorial tributes to 9-11 with Trump's cynical and calumnious use of the smoldering towers to promote the irrefutable lie that Cruz's New York values critique had anything to do with 9-11.
Lots of dishonesty will surface over the next few short months. But it is all just kabuki theater. The oligarchy has already chosen whom will be the next president, if there will in fact be a next. The current turd floating in and out of the White House was placed there for very specific reasons related to the end of the Republic.
Suuure - citing the brave folks who risked (and even gave) their all in the aftermath is "cynical and calumnious" and Cruz's leaving such a huge gaping opening by blurting before thinking makes perfect sense.
BTW - I back my statements up by donating to Cruz (just can't stand the idiots that feel the need to make up stuff about Trump and ignore stuff about Cruz while thinking that such malarkey equates to principled and thoughtful discourse) and to FR because I enjoy using it.
Do you have anything but words invested in the deal?
Now for a short public service announcement to all on FR:
We need to ensure we don't get another Obama-like America Hater as the next President.
The best way to ensure that is to actively support a candidate (even if he's "rich enough to do it on his own") as the next President.
I donate to the candidate I support and you should too, else, your "support" really doesn't have any meaning.
It's even worse if you use FR and don't donate. If you are one of those who feel it's OK to use FR daily w/o helping pay to keep the lights on, then please don't complain about the welfare leeches because, functionally, you are no different than any other who enjoys the fruits of others' work for your own benefit. Also, don't be surprised if others decide that your opinions are as worthless as your non-donations - hypocrites aren't worth listening to.
PS - If you are one of those unlucky few who cannot afford even a small donation to FR or a candidate, God Bless and happy FReeping!.....
It has been shocking to me that he got there. What was more shocking was the Republican’s lack of action since becoming the Majority in the House in 2013.
They could have defunded anything they wanted unilaterally, since January 3rd, 2013.
