This is hilarious. The Metropolitan Republican Club has been around since 1902. It’s a pretty big deal up there, with virtually very Republican Presidential nominee since 1930 using the club’s offices as its NYC headquarters.
The Club held its straw poll, which was conducted after Ted Cruz’s statements about New York values. The results? Ted Cruz came in first place, beating Donald Trump.
No way.... /s
Even New Yawkers don’t like their own “values.”
Wow, it looks like Cruz and Trump can split all of these votes...that would be 12 for Cruz and 11 for Trump. If Cruz would have kept his whiny piehole shut he could have had all 23 votes.
How many total votes?
If Erick Erickson says it it must be true!
/puke
Unpossible.
The fainting flowers over the past few days assured us that all real New Yorkers were upset and angered.
Those are proud liberal NYC values, why do they keep saying it’s insulting?
>> Even New Yawkers donât like their own âvalues.â
Just like Iowa conservatives don’t like their own ethanol boondoggle.
Again, Ted Cruz does the right thing BECAUSE it’s the right thing... and reaps the benefits.
GO TED!
The Metropolitan Republican Club of Manhattan. lol,,,
How much more GOPe can you get?
If you stopped whining about Cruz we could keep the threads cleaner.
Where Do Republicans Live In NYC?
The small number of Republican elected officials is not surprising. Only 13 percent of the 3.7 million registered voters in New York City are registered as Republican, according to the New York City Board of Elections.
The smallest percentage of Republicans is in the Bronx (9.3 percent).
Listing the other boroughs in ascending order, they are:
Brooklyn (12.1 percent)
Manhattan (14.1 percent)
Queens (18.1 percent)
By far the largest percentage of Republicans is in Staten Island (37.8 percent).
Only in Staten Island are there contiguous areas of Republican strength....
And keep in mind, the gop-E allowed that crazy POS Bloomberg to run as their candidate.

more BS from the apron clad EE.
Heck of a win, that +1. Did GS call some loan threat to guarantee that one vote. ROTFL!!
"Participants in the poll were asked: "who do you think won tonight's debate?" Out of 53 participants, Cruz received the most votes with 18, Trump was just shy of a tie with 17 votes, and Rubio pulled in 11 votes."
Those results pretty much match up what was the current state the night of the debate, which, incidentally, was before the the past five days of media reaction.
What is it with Cruz and his supporters. Maybe later on we can all have a conversation about this ... like Ted likes to do, esp when it involves the border.
I can just hear Randolph and Mortimer Duke debating this. Classic,,,
ONE POINT? ONE POINT and all “Surging Ted”s “forgetting to report donations” is forgotten? Really? ONE POINT and “SURGING TED” on his way to victory? Come back when he wins a real poll by 25 points.
I’m from Chicago and I would have no problem supporting anyone who would criticize the political values of Chicagoans. The mayor of Chicago told Chick Fil a they were not welcome in Chicago because they don’t share Chicago values.
The good people of New York know exactly what Cruz meant and probably agree with him.
The bottom line, its not a slam dunk, but it is reasonable to think Trump could actually win New York in a general election.
I cannot imagine Cruz winning New York anymore than I can imagine Hillary winning Texas.
