Ted Cruz mocks FRENZIED rabid tweetstorm from the Trump!!
The Right Scoop ^ | Jan 16, 2016 | soopermexican

El Trumpo is having a full blown freak out on Twitter against Ted Cruz:

Ted Cruz was born in Canada and was a Canadian citizen until 15 months ago. Lawsuits have just been filed with more to follow. I told you so

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 16, 2016

Ted Cruz said he "didn't know" that he was a Canadian Citizen. He also FORGOT to file his Goldman Sachs Million $ loan papers. Not believable

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 16, 2016

Was there another loan that Ted Cruz FORGOT to file. Goldman Sachs owns him, he will do anything they demand. Not much of a reformer!

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 16, 2016

The Ted Cruz wiseguy apology to the people of New York is a disgrace. Remember, his wife's employer, and his lender, is located there!

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 16, 2016

How is this any different from people pointing out two of his wives were immigrants? It’s only tangentially connected.

Oh no, just reported that Ted Cruz didn't report another loan, this one from Citi. Wow, no wonder banks do so well in the U.S. Senate.

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 16, 2016

Based on the fact that Ted Cruz was born in Canada and is therefore a "natural born Canadian," did he borrow unreported loans from C banks?

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 16, 2016

Ted Cruz purposely, and illegally, did not list on his personal disclosure form personally guaranteed loans from banks. They own him!

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 16, 2016

Cruz batted away this accusation at the GOP debate, which he is roundly considered to have won.

Ted is the ultimate hypocrite. Says one thing for money, does another for votes. https://t.co/hxdfy0mjVw

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 16, 2016

Again, the Donald is just desperately grasping at straws here. Had Ted Cruz told one crowd that he was for gay marriage and another against, he might be hypocritical, but that’s not the case.

Here’s now CNN reports his response:

Cruz declined to comment on the Times report when asked by a CNN reporter during an appearance in Columbia, South Carolina on Friday. But speaking to reporters at a church not far from Charlotte on Saturday, Cruz, who once declined to attack Trump, shed any caution he may have had about laying into his top rival.

“I would note that Donald’s record does not match what he says as a candidate,” Cruz said, gamely tackling questions he routinely swatted away for seven months.

Cruz also aggressively ridiculed Trump’s obsession with the latest opinion surveys, saying that Trump’s attacks on Twitter come because he is “dismayed” about a recent NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll showing a competitive race.

“I imagine it pulled him out of bed this morning and send him tweeting and tweeting and tweeting,” he said. “I think in terms of a commander in chief, we ought to have someone who isn’t springing out of bed to tweet in a frantic response to the latest polls.”

Cruz referred repeatedly to an interview Trump did with NBC News’ Tim Russert 17 years ago, in which he defines his “New York values” as distinct from “Iowa values.” Cruz said those values — pro-abortion rights, including supporting partial birth abortion and pro-gay marriage — explained Trump’s world view. And he dredged up the former Democrat’s donation history to some of the state’s leading politicians, including Hillary Clinton.

“Given the fact that for much of his life, Donald was financially supporting those politicians — writing checks to Hillary Clinton, writing checks to Andrew Cuomo — it is a fair inference that he supports their policies,” Cruz said.

The Texas senator, then asked for some differences on national security between him and Trump, offered that was unaware of what Trump’s foreign policy is.

“To be honest, I don’t know what Donald’s position is,” Cruz said.

BOOM!!

Oddly, the full statement is a little different as the reporting above cut out a few sentences:

They’re getting fired up!!!

Those loans were reported....

Cruz might sneak through the reporting aspect, if indeed he did report it everywhere he was supposed to. The bigger problem is that he obscured them from his supporters, and instead built a false narrative of not being a guy with big donor obligations. In fact, he had to explain it away, with yet another one of his slick answers when his campaign first accepted deep pocket donors....remember we were assured they would NEVER be from anyone who would accept favors? And what about the backroom discussions with deep pocket donors, where he at the very least changed the emphasis of his priorities.

It just keeps piling up.

Who has Cruz accepted “favors” from? It’s amusing that Ted Cruz, who was elected to the Senate by a populace demanding that he stand up to Washington elites, stood up those elites as promised and is rounding hated by the establishment for doing so, is being accused of being in the pockets of big donors.

I’m referring to the loans from Goldman Sachs and Citi Bank. That support of his US Senate campaign is not part of the narrative he has written for himself. It’s not okay. Supporters had already given him a pass on his wife’s Goldman Sachs employment, not knowing he’d accepted a very large loam from them to help him get elected.

Reagan would have been burned at the stake here by the same people.

Now only billionaires can run for office because “they can’t be bought”... Anyone with less is a failure. Nevermind that billionaire became a billionaire by buying politicions, “that’s just how its done in business” they say... So personal ambition justifies buying people. The Clintons would agree...

There is something oily about Cruz that is starting to show through.

Trump is having the time of his life...you want to know New York Values....your seeing them....these people don’t take crap, they dish it out...

True. In New York (and North Jersey), people do seem to have that type of personality, just like Trump (and Christie). Sometimes that type of personality is refreshing; sometimes it's downright rude.

Ted Cruz is so much smarter than you .. he doesn’t have to resort to saying ..” kissing ass” .. to get his point across.

You ought to try it sometime. FR IS NOT TWITTER.

Your reply is unresponsive to what I posted, which showed no evidence that I do not understand the purpose of campaign finance disclosure laws.

I repeat: Cruz disclosed the loans, when they were taken out during the primary, and you can find copies of the disclosures on other threads here at FR.

But’s it’s becoming clear Cruz was playing a shell game to avoid revealing he was being backed and funded by a Wall Street bank where his wife was a Director. A company completely void of ethics and morals, which in fact was just fined billions for criminal fraud.

Btw, I won’t be posting on this thread any longer as even the title of this hit piece is 100% disingenuous BS.

Cheers.
