Trump singing a different tune just a short while back. FLIP FLOP campaign conservative.
A piece of property is "worth" the price at which a willing buyer and willing seller agree to exchange the property. If it was a price at which she, the owner of the property, was not willing to sell, then no, the offer was not "much more than it was worth."
You or I (or anyone else) might have taken the offer, but it was her property, and, last I checked, we respect property rights around here.
Homo “marriage” is a STATE issue...that....THAT was Mr Cruz’s point in the matter.
States rights ? surely you’ve heard of that arcane concept?
Perhaps with your expertise you might consider helping out with that.
“Well, tune into Hannity tonight and see what Cruz says!”
................................................................................................................
I heard what will occur today on the radio show. There is no debate tonight.
************************************************************************
Who said there was to be a debate tonight? Cruz will be interviewed on Hannity from what I understand.
You can 'imagine' the blood on Trumps hands for supporting killing babies is shinny glitter if you want to.....
But the 'reality' is they're still bloody....
Trump was asked whether he has ever asked God for forgiveness for his actions regarding this support....
..."I don't think so," he said. "I think if I do something wrong, I think, I just try and make it right. I don't bring God into that picture. I don't."
Is the Keystone pipeline government property or private? It' is private. Eminent domain was/is being used to acquire the land for it.
Some people here need a remedial course in Civics. Do they even teach it anymore? I took it in 7th grade.
Trump’s a Presbyterian and that evidently need not equate to being a Christian at the point in the history of the Presbyterian “church”
he’s claimed Presbyterianism...but he has yet to claim Christ!
I rest my case!
“So in your world, private property goes to the highest bidder whether the owner wants to sell it or not as long as it is fair market value, is that it? Really?”
That line about Kelo has always puzzled me.
Trump has never had any control over Eminent Domain.
Trump will never have any control over Eminent Domain.
If Trump loses sleep over wanting to promote Eminent Domain, it will all be in vain.
However, a vote is different. Ted Cruz voted for the Corker bill. He condemned his vote last night. He is always condemning his vote. No one, No One, will ever call him out on it. I predict that one day, someone will, and he can’t clear himself at all.
Do as you wish. I said my piece.
Trump hasn’t changed much.
No principles or core beliefs then or now.
civics? that would be arming the young mind with the tools with which to help preserve our way of life and we can’t HAVE that sort of Ancient Practice going on in the Marvelous Shning New Millennium can we??...s
History? HUH the history of SLAVERY and the WOMANS movement....that about covers “civics in this decade and the last few come to think of it.
another GREAT reason for the explosion of Home Schooling
You gotta start some place, and on all the big issue, his campaign plank, Trump is there.
Well gee, HA, just look at the post before yours - post 75.
Q.E.D.
Do you think the Atlantic City government decided, on their own, to try to condemn Vera Coking's house and give it to Trump? Of course not. Trump was a major developer, and the attempt to take Ms. Coking's house through eminent domain was done at his behest.
Found that earlier and it would not load.
Still won’t.
Hmmmmm
Believe it or not, the federal government is supposed to have limits on what it can legislate over the states. To only those things enumerated in the constitution. Gay marriage isn’t one of them... What isn’t in the federal government’s domain is left to the states. Cruz said it should be up to the states to decide and that it is none of the federal government’s business - which is correct.
There was a time when “conservatives” were for smaller government and restraining the federal government back to its constitutional limits. This issue is an example.
No, they alternate it. After Dinkins, they had Giuliani and he straightened things out, which gave Bloomberg a shot; a liberal, but evidently did a passable job; then this present idiot. Next election will be a conservative Republican. Pain has a way of clearing people’s thinking.
Trump is all about the Greatness of Trump.....the only thing he's changed is his language to speak the words needed to get him the next notch in his belt of success...the Presidency....where it will still be about Trump.
