How awful.
Yikes!
It’s about 3AM there...night rescues can’t be easy.
Has there been bad weather?
They’re big ones. More lifting power than a Sikorsky Skycrane.
Sending up prayers for my fellow Marines.
one is an accident. Two though?
At the risk of conspiracy theory mongering..there have been a few too many “navigation” mishaps in our mil hardware of late.
TWO boats off Iran go simul missing? TWO helos? I guess they could have “legitimately” collided.
I don’t know if it is hardware-related or software related: The relentless demoralizing of our military readiness.
Don't know...but even in good weather it's a bad situation.
The Coast Guard is reporting that they collided and there’s a debris field in the water. Six souls aboard each.
30-40 foot waves,
wreckage spotted,
USCG arrived in scene 12AM local time (3 hours 45 mins ago)

Oh no.....
Not good by any means. Search for 2 CH-53’s would seem to indicate a collision or one following the other and going to low. Hopefully it’s a rescue.
“Two” is an airborne collision.
I don’t know anything about this but it seems to me that two helos in this day and age shouldn’t collide unless there was major malfunction.
There’s a lot of automation, but the pilot is still in control 100%.
It was a mid air collision.
RIP brave Marines
Night flying helos is tough, lost a bunch of friends when 2 53s went into the side of a mountain back in ‘76, and a good friend in Desert One, collision happen.
Just damn.
Prayers up and Semper Fi.
This is bad. Praying for them.
