Donald Trump took his front-running campaign for the Republican presidential nomination to Pensacola, Fla., on Wednesday night. And, holy cow, did people come out in droves to see him.
Here's a photo of the crowd taken by WaPo's own Jenna Johnson.
*snip*
Trump's campaign claimed it gave out 20,000 tickets; the arena holds 11,500 people. According to Jenna's reporting, there were "at least 11,000" in attendance and "several thousand more were turned away."
Large crowds are the rule, not the exception, at this point for Trump. He had 8,000 people in Lowell, Mass., earlier this month; more than 2,000 showed up in Burlington, Vt., -- not exactly a conservative enclave -- to hear Trump speak last week.
I've written a lot about crowd sizes this election and how they remain an uncertain indicator of actual support. But, Trump's ability to draw thousands and thousands of people to hear him speak this close to actual voting -- we are 19 days from the Iowa caucuses -- suggests to me that the enthusiasm and passion he has sparked among a certain segment of the GOP base isn't going anywhere any time soon.

The only “mental illness” I’ve seen in this campaign was when Senator Principled Conservative campaigned for Barack Obama’s TPA. After the Iran Deal, Obamacare, etc. it was an obvious case of temporary insanity for a conservative to enable the Obama agenda. No same conservative would ever enable Barack Obama and grease the wheels for his secret trade deals.
It was truly a bizarre event to see the Lion of Conservatism behaving this war and the moment I left Team Cruz forever. Your desperate satire here just confirms to me Cruz is about lose. Deal with it.
“I’m just hearing it from others”
Don’t you get it? That’s the latest line of attack: If someone is not with the program, they are nuts.
HUH he needs to seek mental evaluation! He has a clean bill of health unlike many other elected officials and judges.

Thats the latest line of attack: If someone is not with the program, they are nuts.
Report me to whom? And for what?
Or ineligible.
All the Dems I know he is getting support from are blue collar working class men who are fed up of seeing the country go to crap.
Do you have any stats backing this up or is from your view?
first time I have heard anyone raise this question, who is it saying and asking this? Names would be nice to back your theory up, unless you wanted to have a sly attack on him which if is the case is pathetic, as if a Trump supporter did the same.
All you are doing is the lefts and the establishments bidding.
I hear it’s a big thing, the concern about Donald being mentally ill. Trump supporters don’t do sly attacks. Trump does. All the time.
We are simpatico. And, to be sure, the context of the Constitution includes the "general Welfare" of the "People" - not foreign interests or corporations.
you are the only one bringing this up to do an attack on him.
it is pathetic and stupid. Stop doing the lefts and the establishments bidding, unless you are one of those.
Troll alert. Posts the same thing on every thread. Mods, might want to look at this.
Love it....turn the tables on this slime ball. I do worry about Trump with his finger on the nucular button!
An attack on Trump and Cruz is an attack on millio0ns of us voters , something which the establishment likes to do. Hell there is even one poster on here trying to say he needs a mental evaluation.
These attacks need to stop from both sets of supporters . We have enough attacks from the GOP to deal with.
Others have noticed the same thing...
... Say what you will about Trump, but heâs been able to establish a real rapport with regular Americans. And he continues to prove the critics and naysayers wrong.
DT has walked all over Reagan’s 11th commandment. He makes Huck and Jeb look appealing.
Attacks are just like what Trump does to other Republicans. Trump taught me to be a concern troll.
LOL That made me laugh a lot.
So when did you come down with your problem. was it in the preoperative stage because of the lack of conservation, or did if form later in the concrete operational stage when you could form a theory of mind?
