âYouâve convinced me [of the need to pass the Dream Act].â [NBC Latino, 8/22/13] "I hate the concept of it, but on a humanitarian basis with whatâs happening, you have to [bring in Syrian refugees]." [Interview with Bill OâReilly, 9/8/15]
Regarding Kim Davis: âBecause we had a ruling from the Supreme Court and we are a country of laws and you have to do what the Supreme Court ultimately, whether you like the decision or not, and it was a 5-4 decision, whether you like the decision or not, you have to go along with the Supreme Court. Thatâs the way it is.â [Interview with Bill OâReilly, 9/8/15]
These comments were not made by Jeb Bush who sits at 3% in the polls; they were made by Donald Trump, the front-runner for the GOP nomination.
After spending an entire week discussing the Cruz citizenship issue, canât we have a debate over whether weâve properly vetted the frontrunner on some of the critical issues facing our nation?
Everyone becomes an intrepid conservative convert on the road to Des Moines.
It is self-evident to anyone with a modicum of love for the Republic that this is an election our nation and party cannot get wrong. Following eight years of Obamaâs fundamental transformation, the stakes are too high.
As someone who has vetted a number of congressional candidates who promised to be conservative but got sucked into the D.C. political vortex upon assuming office, Iâve seen that nobody runs in a primary as anything but a solid conservative. Everyone becomes an intrepid conservative convert on the road to Des Moines.

??? That term is new to me. And I've been on FR for over ten years. Can you explain please? (PM is fine).
Maybe watching the candidates who have been all over the media, for years, saying things, watching them we'll get to know who IS a "man of his word(s)" and whether or not we endorse those words and tie the man to them.
It looks a bit scattered, but is better than the statements that I've seen from him before.
“I think this was already posted.”
It was.
Look how well Tea Party conservative darlings gowdy, haley, rubio, ellmers, ersnt, tillis, ayotte, rounds, sullivan, fischer, cotton, daines, gardner, and heller and a WHOLE bunch more turned out. Maybe Horowitz should have looked cold-eyed at them too.
It’s the most thorough and accurate summary I have seen. It’s a good counter to so much misinformation that’s making the rounds.
I will bet you a 50 dollar donation to FR that if he wins the nomination they will crawl out of the woodwork. Only then they will believe it will hurt him the most.
NYDN, DrewsDad. :)
Of course they will. That’s the game.
I will bet you a fifty dollar donation that if Trump wins the nomination he will win the election.
OK, I read it. It was very entertaining, and Tama wields a stiletto for a pen. She's an EXCELLENT writer.
But, I'm not sure how this casts Trump in a bad light. This is business - BIG business, and that's how it works.
Myself, I would have sat on his desk till he cut the check.
Got myself in trouble for a couple months one time doing that to a client.
But I got the check, and we went from 90 days to 30 days after we "resumed" business relations after the one-month "punishment" hiatus...
It was an excellent piece of writing.
Gives some good intel on how a President Trump would handle things.
So accept your crawfishing on your statement about him being a man of his word and there are no unhappy ex-employees? Other wise you would accept my wager.
Trump is no angel and he has crushed, destroyed, and legally robbed from people and companies on his rise to fame. He is a one man Barnum and Bailey circus, a carnival barker, a show man and above all, a historically liberal politically. But, I guess I would vote for him in the general because the devil himself would be better than Hillary.
I decline your wager.
He’s a shark who beats other sharks.
Sounds like the kind of guy I want in the White Hut.
I take it you want someone who is too much of a gentleman to fight like Milt Romley?
Psyops. Serves the same purpose as trash-talking during a game. I contrast it with that interesting post about The Donald saying they turned people away but the venue wasn’t even full. How much of this alleged wild popularity is real, and how much will fizz away to nothing on game day. Remains to be seen.
Peace,
SR
What? You don’t believe in “right words,” but you believe in “right words,” as long as they come from Trump? Very confusing. Now if someone in the race had actually spent his career fighting for conservative causes ... oh wait ... that wasn’t Trump was it. Sorry.
Peace,
SR

A Fool and His Money Will Soon be Parted! If there were any $hit on Trump, you don’t think that the GOPe/Chamber of Communists Cabal would have used it by now? We’ve been played all my life by the GOPe, and for the first time since RR, we have an opportunity to sidestep these turds who’ve been screwing us (and who actually screwed Reagan by forcing GHWB on him as VP to gain a measure of political control), and we’re arguing bits and pieces. At this juncture, none of us has any idea how a Trump Presidency would work out. I mean look at the “conservatve crap” that’s made it to the SCOTUS (can you say Earl Warren or this worthless turd Chief Just Us we have right now), but with the country on life suppport, I don’t see that we have anything to loose with Trump given the fact that ALL the rest of them are simply some rich guy’s organ grinder’s monkeys, and as much as I like Cruz, he’s one too!
“Now if someone in the race had actually spent his career fighting for conservative causes ... “
And that would be all those septuagenarians (Urine Hatch is a good example, McLame is another, or Bitch McScrotum Chin) who’ve been in the Senate or the House “fighting for conservative causes” for the best part of 50 years, you mean those guys?
Yes, the GOP-e is always harder on conservatives in the primary than they are against libs in the general. I dont think they’ve got anything on trump or they would be using now.
Oh please, there have been thousands of articles about how terrible Trump is supposed to be. We’ve heard it all.
I have no idea where you are coming from. Maybe tired brain syndrome on my part. Please take no offense. :)
Peace,
SR
