Nikki Haley: Damn right I was criticizing Trump in my SOTU rebuttal last night

We're in a weird place when the GOP's SOTU rebuttal is essentially a rebuttal of the GOP frontrunner. And lest you think that was all Haley, she acknowledged today that her speech, as is customary, was approved by party leaders before she delivered it. It was a group effort.

I, for one, welcome the impending Republican crack-up!

The GOPe doesn't want Trump to win, so they campaign against him. But campaigning against him makes him more popular because people hate the GOPe more than Trump. So by campaigning against him, they are really campaigning for him.

I suspect if Trump loses, they will scream "I told you so" as loud as they can, but if he wins, they can claim they were just being super smart and campaining against him in order to make him popular. The only flaw here is that it requires intelligence, and I don't think they are that smart.
