No applause. No applause. Silence. Huh?
He sees us on the assembly line, he sees the dreamer doing his science project, the teacher who buys extra supplies (because the $12k a student is wasted on the middlemen), the young cop walking the best, treating everyone with respect, he sees the solider who saves his brothers, the son who finds the courage to come out as gay, the fsther who loves his son, the elderly woman waiting in line to cast her vote, the new citizen who casts his vote, the volunteers at the poll who make every vote (and then some) count.
This is the America I know, we love. Clear eyed and big hearted. Unconditional love. That makes me hopeful.
I believe in change because I believe in you. Those of you who vote dem.
