David Bowie has died after a battle with cancer, his rep confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter.

Do I sound like a person who doesn’t know this? If so, I’m going about it all wrong.
What's funny is that when they recorded it, Pat had no idea who David Bowie was.
I don’t have any circumstantial evidence at all regarding Stewart other than his act.
With Jagger, one does have the statement of Bowie’s wife that they were in bed together, naked. If it had been Michael Jackson with such evidence, there wouldn’t be anyone claiming innocence.
However, as I’ve learned in our denominational struggles with those who are charged with homosexuality, if there isn’t a videotape, then it will be thrown out of church court. So, if they can be that stringent, then I suppose anyone can.
That said, 2 grown men naked in bed, is not exonerating circumstantial evidence.
I don’t know how old you are, but saying “I’m bisexual” in 1976 was prior to the era of tightly defined sexual expressions in the area of homosexuality and bisexuality. In 76, to say it was to imply that you do it.
Like the Bible says, on the word of one witness, convict them.
Or was that two witnesses? On the Jagger incident, we have one. On bisexuality, we have Bowie’s statement, coupled with (1) no evidence he acted on it, and (2) his own admission that much of what he said was for publicity.
Yes, it's the one about the Japanese POW camp. I'd never heard of it. Found it on one of the British torrent sites and watched it. It's one of the few movies he did that I watched, and I certainly liked it. I liked some of his music too.
Well, at least two of us have seen it. Had never heard of it, but found it online. I was pleasingly surprised at how good it was. It's a movie I highly recommend.
I remember in the movie "Saturday Night Fever", one of the scenes had the argument about whether Bowie was gay or bisexual. The one character said that "bisexual" meant that you like both. The other person replied, "Yeah he likes both....Men AND Boys."
2 witnesses: Bowie Himself, and his wife.
And, to repeat, it’s not about convicting anyone of anything. It’s to connect to the earlier demise of those who engage in MSM.
In any case, this book, evidently tells more:
Talk about a guy who has played with the giants: Bowie, Zappa and Fripp.
Used to work for RCA records. The suits had a real love/hate thing for Bowie. They knew he could write a hit anytime he wanted, but we got the arty Lodger and Scary Monsters. Then he bails on us and writes Let’s Dance for Capitol/EMI probably his biggest selling album ever. Those guys are probably still bitching about it.
Got to meet him when he came through town on the Elephant Man tour. Very nice approachable fellow. Not at all hung up on his own celebrity like so many others.
I love everything from Ziggy to Scary Monsters. I will check out the new one though sounds good.
Neither Bowie nor Jagger has ever confirmed the naked in bed accusation.
Still just one witness.
Small world. I too was there at the Tacoma Dome.
That was the first concert in the Tacoma Dome, the opening act was The Tubes. I got my 15 yr old body up to the front and was standing right next to Bowie.
The album of the show was Let’s Dance, a fantastic album. My love of Bowie started with TVC15 on Saturday Night Live. A strange act with two mimes.... can be found on Youtube.
I went to the concert with some of my brothers friends. One named Brian L....
Goodbye Major Tom!
Huge talent gone...RIP David
FWIW, this is what his wife wrote on Twitter:
“The 60-year-old supermodel shared an image on Twitter saying, ‘The struggle is real, but so is God,’ along with the caption ‘Rise’.”
I had assumed from some of the statements he made that he was an atheist, and certainly had attacked organized religion, but from what his wife wrote, it seems in his final days he did at least acknowledge there was a God.
And, since my focus, as repeated a few times now, is early demise of MSM, then that incident plus Bowie's own assertion constitutes 2 witnesses that enable me to put him in the MSM category and link that to early death of MSM.
Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars... one of the very first vinyl LPs I ever bought.
I’ll miss his music and unique persona.
RIP, Thin White Duke... thanks for all the great music.
You would be right, if Bowie had ever said he committed/engaged in homosexual acts. But he never has.
The massive cocaine abuse earlier in his career, by contrast, is something he readily admits.
interesing
I always thought the lyrics were sung quite clearly. I’ve heard some of Steve Winwood’s with Traffic and I just can’t make it out! A good example of this is the song, “Shootout At The Fantasy Factory”. Go have a listen and I guarantee you that it will leave you scratching your head. However, it IS a kickass Traffic song!
