Sometimes the big one comes after.
Hearing Roland Heights, CA...small 3.1
Thanks. Where, approximately are you (without giving away too much in public).
I did not feel it...I’m in Valencia
If it’s 3.1, no big deal, but thanks for reporting it!
Magnitude-4.5 Earthquake Shakes Southern California From Inland Empire to Coast
The early morning earthquake was centered in the Banning area, about 85 miles east of Los Angeles.
not huge but likely not much fun
Nice little jolt here in Fullerton.
Probably won’t help trying to stop the la methane leak.

M3.1 - 2km S of Rowland Heights, California
USGS is a good resource.
This was a small quake on a smaller fault near the coast. The San Andreas Fault is 60 miles inland near San Bernardino. That’s where any big one will come from. The smaller faults can cause quakes up to 7, but the San Andreas can cause 8 or larger quakes. Use to live in L.A., Riverside, San Bernardino and San Jose (during the 1989 Loma Prieta quake). Now live in Sacramento.
Nothing noticed in Mission Viejo.
We got a pretty big jolt. The focus was about two miles northeast of here, up in the La Habra Hills.
Well, you haven’t lived until you’ve been through a 7.1 .. that’s the strongest I’ve ever felt in the 23 years I’ve lived here.
