Of course he is a citizen, but is he a Natural Born citizen. What does that mean in the Constitution. That is going to be the issue for the Dems.

RE: Natural Born.... Byron York got into this years ago and went to an analysis from 2 noted constitutional scholars...Ted Olson being one of them. York and Olson's analysis says it well:

That last category clearly includes Cruz, making him a "citizen of the United States at birth." The only question, then, is whether a citizen at birth is also a natural born citizen. "My conclusion would be that if you are a citizen as a consequence of your birth, that's a natural born citizen," Olson told me in 2012. "It is not our view that natural born citizenship requires the citizenship of both parents."

Since nothing further was required for Ted to acquire citizenship, his classification has been deemed to be natural born.

There are only two kinds of citizens: Naturalized citizens, and Natural Born citizens. Since you concede he is a citizen, and he has never been naturalized, he is thus a Natural Born citizen.
