Charles Koch is "disappointed" with the line-up of Republican candidates in the 2016 cycle, and is surprised by the lack of influence he and his brother have wielded so far.
In an interview with the Financial Times, the billionaire businessman and philanthropist, said he'll eventually support a candidate who he agrees with on some things with, but that it's hard to get excited. He said a list presented to all the candidates about the Kochs' political arm's priorities "doesn't seem to faze them much. You'd think we could have more influence."
"It is hard for me to get a high level of enthusiasm because the things I'm passionate about and I think this country urgently needs aren't being addressed," he said. Koch also bashed the candidates currently leading the Republican field -- Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and businessman Donald Trump. Koch said that if Trump was successful with his proposal to require all Muslims entering the U.S. to register with the government, then "well, then you destroy our free society."
"Who is it that said, 'If you want to defend your liberty, the first thing you've got to do is defend the liberty of people you like the least'?" he continued.

Just iamgine Koch’s frustration. :)
“Iamgine”?
Nope.
Imagine. :)
To keep a free society we better start removing all the muslims from it now.
...
You’re right. The Kochs are Libertarians, so naturally they are going to be wrong on the issue.
Koch said that there are 1.6 billion Muslims worldwide and asked, what “are we going to do: go bomb each one of them?”...If need be.
“Koch said that there are 1.6 billion Muslims worldwide and asked, what “are we going to do: go bomb each one of them?” “
Might not be a bad idea to kill all of them before they kill all of us! Koch Bros. are two more fake conservative turds in the punchbowl. Thank, Donald for forcing them out into the open. They are both openly Socialists, wihch may mean that they’re also Marxists. At the minimum, they are “gimme all you’re money’s.”
Charles Koch had better get his thinking straight. When he used the quote, “If you want to defend your liberty, the first thing you’ve got to do is defend the liberty of people you like the least?” he did not consider that this thinking did not consider how we act when under attack. FDR, worried about the Japanese population in our country after the Pearl Harbor attack. Did we allow Japanese to immigrate to the United States after we declared war on Japan? I think not. What did we do? We put all West Coast Japanese into internment camps. That is quite radical and I don’t think the situation justifies that action. It shows that drastic measures will be taken if the situation justifies it.
Trump’s recommendations are for a temporary halt to immigration from Islamic countries. Temporary is not permanent and it is for a purpose. It is like a temporary road closure to get something fixed. We don’t scream that it is destroying our free society because they blocked the road. It is getting something fixed. The problem is the indications that outside terrorists are engaging in a recruitment process to create terrorist from the inside. If we let these terrorists come in with the other refugees, that makes their recruitment work all that easier. Common sense says you need to close the road to get thing fixed.
[People are awakened this election cycle because of Trump!]
It’s not only THIS election cycle, he has changed the political landscape for the future, once the scales have fallen from the eyes of the nation we, finally, see the massive fraud and hypocrisy we have been living under for decades.
One of the most encouraging signs of this election season....
....Koch and others of his ilk can’t buy their candidates the presidency
They’re also being thwarted from engineering more of their social experiment on us.....Lord willing!
Charles then broke out in liberal-tarian song...We are the world, we are the people...
