When I boarded the commuter rail, you were already in the midst of a spirited phone conversation and didn't seem to care about how loud you were talking. You were talking with someone about the Paris train attack and the growing epidemic of gun violence in America.

To 95% of Massholes, they KNOW everyone agrees with them, and yes, they have no problem making Massholes out of themselves in public!
I will bet you a C note that there was no one on the other end of that phone.

My brother lives in CO and has concealed carried for decades. He only pulled his Weapon on one occasion when approached by a Perp in an empty parking garage in Denver.

Before he even had the Weapon fully displayed, the wannabe Robber turned tail and ran.

Murder is down. “Gun Violence” is down. Mass shootings are down. Crime in general are down. And there are 100 million MORE guns out there than there were when Obama was elected.

Depends on your town. Some towns simply do not issue concealed carry permits, period, and make no secret of it. Other towns make the process as easy as legally possible.

Went out to breakfast yesterday with my wife. We were seated at a table next to two men, looked to be in their 40s. They were talking politics. They both sounded conservative but one declared to the other that both Cruz and Rubio were born in Mexico. The other man nodded his head as if to say, “everybody knows that”.

There are low info voters in both parties. Sometimes you may educate one or two of them but as I told my wife, sometimes you just mind your own business. We minded our own business.

Guess I was surprised because I see so many firearm related items that list MA on the "cannot ship to" list. Figured CCW would be non-existant there.

Good to hear parts of the state are sane, no where near Boston I would guess.

My sister and niece are of the same mind set, they watch about 5 minutes of CNN form an opinion and believe they are the smartest women on the planet

I thought maybe you were talking about my two liberal step-daughters. Over Thanksgiving they held a conversation between themselves where among other things they sneered at the idea of Islamic immigrants committing crimes. Conservative Republicans were making it all up. Islam is a religion of peace. Then one week later we had the slaughter in California committed by several Islamic immigrants.

Over Christmas my two step-daughters avoided talking about Islamic immigrants. I wanted to talk to them about what's happening in Europe as well. They're normally two very nice people, but they're not nearly as smart as they think they are. The tragedy is they don't know that.

CCW is legal with a license everywhere. I hate the process of getting a license because you have to go through the Chief of Police of the locality where you live. It is their decision. Some I know are really good.

Some are anti-gun a-holes.

I had to write a letter explaining why I need one. And they gave it to me, which is good, but...I dislike intensely that you are at the mercy of that person's whims and not the codification of licensing by law.

Fortunately, up here, we have some great organizations, the best of which is GOAL (Gun Owners Action League of Massachusetts)

They are extremely active in the legislative process, and offer great benefits and training. I have had a membership for years.
