Ted Cruz is beating Hilary Clinton by 7% in the same poll. Further, Trump is still losing to Hilary Clinton in the RCP average while Ted Cruz is beating Hilary Clinton in the RCP average.
As before Ted Cruz is doing much better against Hilary Clinton in head to heads than Trump is.

Cruz, who I like, has zero ability to get cross-over votes. He would stand no chance at beating Clinton. For what it’s worth, that’s my opinion.

‘Ted Cruz is beating Hillary Clinton by 7% in the same poll.’

The thing is this, though — who weakened her? Trump or Cruz?

Trump is the Golden Goose here. The moment you dump him is the moment that democrats regain their image of respectability.

He’s steamrolling Hillary. She is, however, target-rich. Democrats have an easier time with lesser-known candidates [creeps not yet researched enough]. So, looking at this comprehensively, there is a lot to take in.

Trump could go after Biden’s gaffes.

Not sure how Trump would handle Sanders or Kerry.

I know it's tough to understand at this point, but Cruz is a virtual unknown across the country. Trump's numbers are a virtual lock except for additional support when other candidates drop out. Trump should be worth 10 additional points in a head to head with Hillary - given too that Hillary is well known.

You have to understand that the left, along with the media, haven't really attempted to identify Cruz. Trump has been battered with no real affect. You may think that the more the general public is exposed to Cruz the more they will like him but it just isn't true because the dynamics of the country have changed.

I know... I know, you you refuse to believe me, but it's true. Cruz's religious, social conservatism, once fully known, will doom him in the general election. Everybody knows Trump. The media can't lay a glove on him.

Problem is there is no possibility Cruz can get the nomination. He destroyed any chance he had and his credibility when he pushed TPA through the Senate. That bell cannot be un-rung this cycle.

Cruz can't be doing better against Hillary. That part of the poll, toss it. Toss the RCP Cruz-beats-Hillary-by-a-larger-margin stuff too.
