I know it's tough to understand at this point, but Cruz is a virtual unknown across the country. Trump's numbers are a virtual lock except for additional support when other candidates drop out. Trump should be worth 10 additional points in a head to head with Hillary - given too that Hillary is well known.

You have to understand that the left, along with the media, haven't really attempted to identify Cruz. Trump has been battered with no real affect. You may think that the more the general public is exposed to Cruz the more they will like him but it just isn't true because the dynamics of the country have changed.

I know... I know, you you refuse to believe me, but it's true. Cruz's religious, social conservatism, once fully known, will doom him in the general election. Everybody knows Trump. The media can't lay a glove on him.

I'm an Iowa voter, and I am probably going to vote for Cruz at the caucus. If not him, Rand Paul. But in any case, if Trump wins the R nomination, he is going to steamroll Hillary. It won't be Reagan/Mondale, but it will be in that neighborhood. I think Trump puts the entire eastern seaboard in play, and all those electoral votes.

Hillary is the Ds Romney. The D way left base hates her guts, much like the R conservatives did not like Romney. I have leftist acquaintances that hate Hillary as much as I do. They are all in on Bernie.

I like Cruz, but I think he will have a tougher race against Hillary. He is not as well known, and the media will pound the crap out of him. Trump has been pounded, and still sitting there with an upraised middle finger.

I don't think Trump is hated by the mass D constituency. The celebrity appeals to the LIV, but on a practical level, I think people see him as a job creator. If he can even pull 20% of those minority groups that the Ds count on, it will be landslide city.
