Uh oh it looks like el Trumpo has been reading some far right fringe blogs because now he’s bringing up doubts around Ted Cruz’s eligibility to be president!!
From the Washington Post:
Donald Trump said in an interview that rival Ted Cruz's Canadian birthplace was a "very precarious" issue that could make the Texas senator vulnerable if he became the Republican presidential nominee.
"Republicans are going to have to ask themselves the question: 'Do we want a candidate who could be tied up in court for two years?' That'd be a big problem," Trump said when asked about the topic. "It'd be a very precarious one for Republicans because he'd be running and the courts may take a long time to make decision. You don't want to be running and have that kind of thing over your head."
Trump added, "I'd hate to see something like that get in his way. But a lot of people are talking about it and I know that even some states are looking at it very strongly, the fact that he was born in Canada and he has had a double passport."
Catherine Frazier, a spokeswoman for Cruz, declined to comment Tuesday.
But the official Ted Cruz Twitter account DID respond, and they did it hilariously:

My response to @realDonaldTrump calling into question my natural-born citizenship? https://t.co/gWfAHznlCY — Ted Cruz (@tedcruz) January 5, 2016 |
That’s the scene that brought into our parlance the use of the term “jumping the shark” to signify that someone’s relevancy had reached it’s zenith and was in decline.
Former Cruz spokesperson Amanda Carpenter noted this flip flop on the issue:
|
Donald Trump Sept 2015: Cruz's citizenship "checked out by every attorney…Ted is in fine shape." Did Trump change lawyers? — Amanda Carpenter (@amandacarpenter) January 5, 2016 |

Trump again says something stupid about Cruz, Cruz replies with a funny video. I like this game. It's a convo stopper. — Amanda Carpenter (@amandacarpenter) January 5, 2016 |
Is Cruz right about Trump jumping the shark? Or will the Donald defeat the Cruzinator the way he has other GOP competitors?!
Awaiting the imminent arrival of anti-Cruz jihadists to arrive and JUMP THE SHARK!!
Donald Trump said in an interview that rival Ted Cruz’s Canadian birthplace was a “very precarious” issue that could make the Texas senator vulnerable if he became the Republican presidential nominee.”
That is translated but the nutcase Cruz base as:
“BREAKING! TRUMP GOES BIRTHER on Ted Cruz citizenship”
And then your proceed to spam FR.
SooperMexican is still pissed at Trump because he’s going to get deported once Trump wins the Presidency.
RightScoop has deteriorated into a cess pool, mostly regurgitating crap they pick up from salem media.
Trumpeters doing their best pretzel immitations trying to defend the buffoon.
Maybe teddy saved some of those soccer balls he handed to illegals crossing the border, and he can throw them at Trump.
Precedent Obama has rendered that section moot. Any anchor baby is eligible.
Ping a ling a ding dong fellas.
Going to be a fun thread.
“Trumpeters doing their best pretzel immitations trying to defend the buffoon.”
Maybe you guys (Cruzesters?) should concentrate on how you plan on defending Cruz from the Democrats that aren’t going to find a goofy tweet a “brilliant” defense.
Like it or not, Trump is right that it will be a problem for him, and he isnt going to have a friendly media to cover for him.
Trump was asked a direct question and answered it with the truth. Stop hyperventilating over it. It’s a legitimate question and it is going to get asked.
Sadly Trump is right. Cruz is a far better candidate, but this scenario is not one I do not think about.
In fact the threat has already been made to challenge him if he is the nominee.
Cruz has more strikes against him than Obama in regard to known details of birth, and the courts are stacked with political leftist’s who will turn on him.
Well, I hate to say it, but the issue of natural born citizenship has been discussed at enormous length, and Cruz is not a natural born citizen.
Neither is Obama, of course. But just because the Democrat pigs get away with such a scam doesn’t mean that we should do the same thing.
Whether Trump is wise to bring this up now is a real question. But I’m afraid it is a legitimate question.
Precedent Obama has rendered that section moot. Any anchor baby is eligible.Unfortunately, that's not the case.
All it would take is one activist judge to totally muck up the nomination process. And the GOPe would be cackling behind the scenes, egging it on.
Where are you losers? Come on. Stand up for Walker and Cruz. You know they are bound to win.
snicker.

RE: Its a legitimate question
No, its not. The issue is settled. To state otherwise is counter-constitutional

Wasn’t this just posted 16 minutes ago?
Also It is a crooked political system that does not require candidates to be officially vetted before they run for president. In such a case this issue would not be one to worry about.
I also believe it is possible for some states to refuse put a candidate on the ballot while others may allow them. It could turn into a mess.
It was, It was. ;-) Care to join the counter “MOB” as nopardons called it in another thread. Lets make these anti Trumpers cry like the babies they are.
Valid rational response. Hat tip.
