Yes, I agree, we need to put legal citizens to work, but, we need workers who are trained or willing to be trained. Welding and pipe fitting are not OJT jobs. All that is needed is basic elementary math skills and willingness to learn for a good paying job and a willingness to actually work and not be strung out on drugs or on the smart phone doing facebook. That is what this country is facing today, unskilled, untrained applicants afraid and unwilling to get their hands dirty.

Given the high unemployment rate of youth in this country, this should not be a problem. Perhaps if the safety net was not so comfortable, they would not be so unwilling to get hands dirty.
