Stanford’s offense is much better than bama’s. Their defense is not as good but close enough.

The tide were saved by the ducks.

Go Ducks!!

Yes— one of the best National Anthems of all. And the perfect timing fly-by always amazes me.

Lots of side talk about reasons why McCaffrey didn’t get the trophy. Hope he makes it next year. Evidently he was also track/sprinter in high school. Sure is helping him now. Amazing kid.

"The tide were saved by the ducks."

You really don't know what you're talking about.

From another thread:

"Vince Lombardi, after winning the Super Bowl, was asked if the Packers had removed all doubt as to who was the best football team in the world. Lombardi replied, “Well, I don’t know. We haven’t played Alabama yet!!”

Sorry, I don’t buy into the SEC bias like Espn and other homers do.

These days everybody gets their players from Texas and California.

The Stanford band is playing at halftime right now, and they do not have what it takes to impress anyone. Maybe that’s why they just accept their disheveled. What a waste of time and energy ... I wonder if being in the band really gets that many benefits traveling to games?

The Left must have rejoiced at the Global AIDS float....but the patriotic, religious and family-themed floats dominated the parade, wreaking havoc in the brains of the liberals.

Yeah but in my day we had “Silk Wilkes” (forgot his muzzie name) and Bill Walton...
Wooden was an absolute doll to us students who were camping out around Pauley for a few tickets. He chatted us up before games and made us feel like we mattered, not the Mercedes driving big donor LA hot shots who got all the tickets....

Referring to their crisp band

It is a pretty setting

Easy to see why

I didn't pay attention to the channel. It was the one where the male and female commentators were doing their last Rose Parade after 35 years on on air for the event.

I didn't pay too much attention to the commentary, however, but what I heard was very good. Did you hear different?

blah-blah-blah...its a matter of perspective...

i’m in the football business and have traveled the country watching college games and i enjoy the irreverence of the Stanford band as much as I enjoy the precision of the Texas A&M Aggie band or the showmanship of the USC Trojan band or the thundering war drums of the FSU Seminole band or the massive sound of the LSU Fighting Tiger band or watching them dot the I in Columbus, Ohio....

lighten up...

I watched it on HGTV because anything NBC is against my religion and cute Josh Temple (House Crashers) did behind the scenes stuff like a girl on the India float says, “Josh, I love you! I want you to crash my house!”
The blah blah blah came from Nancy Odell (Entertainment Tonight) and the Property Bros Canadian - insipid at the least but okay.
My g’parents lived in Pasadena so it’s tradition to watch...love the horses...miss Bob Hope....
