Sen. Ted Cruz enjoyed a banner end to 2015, building a strong argument for being the top movement conservative in the Republican presidential race.
But on New Year’s Eve, he was looking ahead to future battles. The Texas Republican told a conference call for 56,817 of his volunteers, according to The Blaze:
We're winning right now. And as a result, I want to tell everyone: Get ready. Strap on the full armor of God. Get ready for the attacks that are coming."
He added a warning:
"We ain't seen nothing yet. ... In the month of January, we are going to see millions if not tens of millions of attacks - of TV commercials, radio, of social media, of mailers," Cruz said. "And actually as it gets closer and closer to election day, it's going to get uglier and uglier and uglier."
Then he dropped the big line of the call:
"We're winning and it terrifies them - you terrify them."
Cruz noted that he believes the primary will have been decided by the end of March, according to CNN.
A number of southern states have primaries on March 1, and Cruz has been aggressively organizing these states for strong performances among the deeply conservative voters in the region.
Cruz reportedly raised nearly $20 million in the last quarter of 2015, bringing his year-end total to more than $45 million, according to the Wall Street Journal.
He is in second place in the RealClearPolitics average of GOP presidential polls, and with strong fundraising and a huge volunteer army, he looks set to take stab at the Republican nomination.
Knock that crap off. You do nothing but serve the needs of the GOPe and ‘RATs in the institutional UniParty(c) with that. We’re all on the same team, and if it were not for Trump, Cruz would very likely have been so thoroughly pulverized by the combined power of the lamestream media and the GOPe, he might very well be sitting around reminiscing with Scott Walker, Rick Perry and Bobby Jindal.
Some people know how to enjoy life and have some fun. Something about......
“all work and no play”.......

I'm a Cruzer, but why do you feel the compulsion to irritate Trump supporters?
If you can post that pix you are smart enough to know how that infuriates so many FReepers. Why do you want to piss on somebody else's parade?
Change your screen name to 'conservativehate' because that is what you project. You are a jerkoff. Pissoff, mate!
It’s O.K. for Cruz to be lied about on a daily basis, but a real picture of Trump is a bridge too far. Got it.
From your mouth to God’ ear!
Well at least Trump is not stalking his supporters for money 24/7 with urgent pleas for donations. Mr. GG2 got 4 yesterday. its annoying.
Amen USS Alaska.
Hell, I’m a Trump supporter but I also like Cruz. I just so happen to think that Trump is better prepared for what the world needs right now and unfortunately for Ted, it’s bigger than him right now.
Damn, some Cruz supporters are more unhinged, rude, crude and down right nastier than most Obama backers I’ve seen in the past. They’re really starting to piss me off. They use the same tactics as the the lefties that they supposedly despise.
Thank you so much for making every thread a reminder of the stupidity of junior high school. Do you really think you’re winning people to your side with this kind of silly crap?
I agree it is silly crap., but it is silly crap that Trump engaged in.
What and where is that??
Cruz supporters are not helping Cruz one bit. They are not happy until they royally piss everyone off.
One of the most fascinating things about the current campaign is the extent to which the media is ignoring the piles of red meat that Cruz is offering and is instead in a feeding frenzy around Trump.
At the very beginning of the campaign, I received a campaign fundraising letter ostensibly from Ted Cruz. The letter consisted entirely of Christian Nationalist rhetoric. It was so bad that I emailed his campaign staff to try to find out if it was legitimate or a parody concocted by the Democrats to embarrass him. I never heard back. Assuming the letter was legitimate and the media were to get a hold of stuff like this, Cruz would be toast.
Nope. I’m not on the same team with the progressive supporters of Trump who are trying to smear Cruz as the “Christian Taliban.” Not at all.
I’m sticking with Cruz.
Are you asking about the WWE Trump wrestling pics?
//We’re winning right now. And as a result, I want to tell everyone: Get ready. Strap on the full armor of God. Get ready for the attacks that are coming.”//
As a Christian this is offensive. Cruz is misusing Scripture and is confusing politics and faith and is exactly what Lewis wrote about in the Screwtape letters.
Another source for the quote for you, dear.
